vaccinated. santa clara county say young adults make up the highest number of unvaccinated people in the county. they also have the highest infection rate. this weekend over felt high school in san rafael is one of the many sites you can drop by without an appointment. hours at county run sites will expand in the next few weeks. >> so many of our students right now are doing child care, working jobs and trying to go to school online full time. i think we really need to make it convenient for them. santa clara county is launching a youth engagement team to cut through the misinformation that some may be seeing on social plead what. the mass vaccination site at masconi center is going to close on may 28th. more than300,000 closures.

vaccinated. we have very high compliance in this district. >> reporter: south of the university of california the vaccine rates are much different. in zip code 94704 38% of people have received one dose. the population is much more diverse. and the median income is just above $38,000 per year. 94704 also normally includes a large number of cal students and right now most of them are not in town. >> they're counted in our population. and a small portion of those individuals are here in the city at this point. that said, we are working with cal to get those students better here vaccinated. >> reporter: here in south berkeley, age, ethnicity and income surely play a role but there's likely another factor that's harder to measure. trust. >> but the real work is really getting into the communities
