new developments the man suspected of assaulting and yelling racial slurs at the president of oakland's president of chamber of congress is being charged. police arrested 25-year-old james lee ramsey. he's been charged with assault, a hate crime and a parol violation. in the east bay, hundreds of oakland tech high school students marched today in the name of mario gonzalez two weeks to the day that he died in police custody. gonzalez died at several officers pinned him to the ground for more than 6 minutes. a woman who knew gonzalez in high school says watching that body camera footage brought her to tears. >> so many people are affected by the life of one life.
