and starting july employees will need to provide the information. >> when is your company going back? >> we're looking at going back in about two weeks from today. we're looking at being hybrid for the majority of the beginning. >> reporter: ash cora is a chair of the state's labor unemployment committee. >> employees are now going to be required to show proof that they're fully vaccinated. >> there's no requirement to force employees to show proof. >> reporter: he believes this change is positive. but his concern are restaurant workers and those in close contact with the public. >> it's voluntary so workers can still opt to wear a mask because again you have customers coming in. you don't know what their status is in terms of being vaccinated or not. >> in san francisco, luz pena, abc 7 news. a lot to sort through.

tonight the country is preparing to take a big step in the fight against covid if protected the cdc gives the green light tomorrow. kids over the age of 12 could begin getting the shot on thursday. georgia started vaccinating children today. >> i look forward to going to camp this year because last year it got canceled. so i'm excited to go there and see all my camp friends. >> california is expected to open appointments later this week. but as abc 7 news reporter and vaccine team member kate larsson explain, it's going to be a logistical nightmare. >> reporter: 80% of people have vaccines. health officials are very optimistic. >> marin county has the highest vaccination rate in the state of california. i think we have a shot at community immunity. >> reporter: marin officials were able to sit in a room together to host a town hall
