is developing right now and you can see the cooling sea breeze reaching into your neighborhood. the 80s are almost gone, 90s for sure. we will still have 80s around fairfield, mainly 60s and 70s until you get around san francisco and the coast a little raw, mid to upper 50s. we are following developing news in antioch, police are trying to find the person that shot and killed a 12-year-old girl. officers were called to a home on okay been way around 7:00 last night. that is where they found the girl in the bedroom with a gunshot wound. police say this happened likely inside. investigators are still working to identify a suspect. a milestone today in the effort to vaccinate all americans. kids 12 to 15 are not eligible to get the pfizer vaccine. this is coming after the cdc gave a formal recommendation. along with healthcare providers, cvs, rite aid at walgreens allstate appointments for teenagers are available across the state. amy hollyfield is alive at a cvs in walnut creek.

good morning, amy. >> good morning. this age group appears to be enthusiastic about a vaccine. this cvs is booked through the weekend. everyone jumped on those available appointments. cvs announced there are 500 locations ready to start giving the shots to 12 to 15-year-old kids starting today. pediatricians say they will also be a good place too. they are well-equipped, they know how to do this. in contra costa county, kids can show up at any county site. in appointments are encouraged, but not required. officials say it is important we get the shot to this age group. >> we are seeing a slight uptick of cases, especially amongst the young. it is important for us to be able to get back in-person schools next year, get back in activities, sports. >> reporter:

pediatricians, the cdc is updating its guidance to allow thcod-19 vaccine to be time asther chdhood vaccines instead of waiting two weeks. great news for parents who want one-stop shopping. doctors say parents should feel comfortable about the safety of the vaccine, saying they would not give something to kids that is not safe. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. california could significantly ease its masked mandates in the coming weeks. on june 15th, the expected to reopen its economy. governor newsome says he hopes to lift restrictions on outdoor masks at this time. indoor mandates would also end at the same time and yesterday, he seemed to be a lot more cautious. for >> for indoor activities, we will still have likely some masks guidelines and mandates, but we hope sooner than later that those would be lifted as for both unvaccinated and me an

i have tried times that reflect that as well. tracy to dublin, 46 minute, antioch to concorde, 19 minutes, a slight slowdown and san rafael to san francisco also normal. san francisco is one step closer to testing the muni service. the city approved a program for free rides from july to september. ridership is still at historic lows from the pandemic. officials hope the program will entice commuters to come back. the pilot still faces revisions before a final vote puts it on the mayor's desk. it is not a good look good one university president on graduation day. what happened after he was caught plagiarizing part of his address from the university of california. one city's mayor confirms she has been in talks to possibly move the oakland a's out of the bay area. as we head to break, let's see what it looks like

new developments, police have arrested two kids, including an 11-year-old for the assault and robbery of an 80-year-old asian men. they believe the 11-year-old was driving a car that was stolen in oakland. the other suspect is 17. police are still looking for a third person. this all happened to saturday afternoon. the victim has minor injuries. the victim believes this was a hate crime. this happened as police reported a 300% increase in crimes against asians. there is a new plan to address aapi hate. san francisco and the asian- pacific islander caucus are requesting $200 million from the state budget over the next three years. that money would go toward victim services and prevention. it would establish a statewide hate crimes outlined and fighting hate incidents in schools. money would also be going to rebuilding and revitalizing chinatown, japan town, koreatown and other

isn't approved. as you know, the raiders left oakland after the 20 18th even for their new home in las vegas. happening now, the house of prime rib in san francisco was closed for the next 24 hours after multiple reports of people getting sick. the restaurant admits that the issue might be do to some prime rib. according to the chronicle, reports started in early april. the department of public health has received at least 10 complaints. they have done two inspections and has not found any major issues. the owner is asking for another inspection today. if you're part of the class of 2021, krispy kreme has a sweet treat for you today. you can get a dozen donuts. in graduating high school or college senior just needs to go to krispy kreme wearing their cap and gown or other graduating flag. krispy kreme started this last year to reward students who did not get to have the typical graduation circulations. that is all i want now. miracle drug. >> me that is what i am saying here. also, there is a covid mystery for the new york yankees. the team says seven staff members, including a pitching coach of tested positive for the virus, even though they were all vaccinated. the cdc is facing mounting pressure to relax guidelines on masks. the cdc director says new guidelines are coming soon. starting today, sonoma county is taking vaccinations on the road. they are holding mobile clinics throughout the county over the next several days. tomorrow, the mobile unit will be at our lady of guadalupe a charge on old highway road in windsor and then it will move to coddington shopping center in santa rosa on saturday and sunday and monday, it will be held on the union park in santa rosa. each clinic opened from noon until 6:30 at night. california to help residents who can't leave the home. the process is slower, more labor-intensive, but officials say it is critical for

tv, fire tv and android tb. search abc7 bay area to download it. a big boost to education. yesterday, governor newsome announced a total of $20 million in school funding, the highest level in state history. >> people aren't left often as they start behind. that is why that investment is so foundational and so important. three hours minimum of instructional time is connected with that tk investment. >> the governor plans to expand a transitional kindergarten program to include all 4-year- olds by the 2024 school year. the funding low income students and an extra $500 for young people who are experiencing homelessness or in foster care or that money can be used for higher education or to start their own business. $1 billion will go to improving staff to student ratios and $3 billion to matching well- prepared teachers with the most vulnerable students. there are concerns in the east bay this morning after two

shootings happened at the same housing complex in less than a week. pittsburgh police say before shooting happened may 5th at the el pablo housing complex. surveillance video shows a car pulling up in several men shooting at two people sitting in another car. a similar shooting happened on monday night. police are still searching for the gunmen. >> happening today, a parenting influencer from the north bay is due in court that she is facing criminal charges for lying to police about a fake kidnapping. she accused a latino couple of trying to take her two kids outside of this petaluma michaels store in december. she posted videos on social media, recounting what she claimed happened, but police cleared the couple. she now faces two misdemeanor charges and can face up to one year in jail. three women are in custody, accused of ventilating a statue at the former home of a witness of the derek chauvin trial. vandals smeared pigs
