it was filled with young people celebrating a birthday. two women died. five others were wounded in the shooting. here are audio excerpts from police radio. >> a person shot on a party bus. open line. people screaming. >> i am talking to the party of the driver -- i am talking to the driver of the party bus. they were on the freeway when they were shot. >> the bus pulled off but the suspects continued shooting from a vehicle. >> there is little information but it does not appear to be random. chp will lead the investigation with the assistance of the oakland police department. >> just last month a 25 year old woman was shot while riding on a party bus. there were 30 passengers on board. that woman survived. >> i believe the specific shootings were targeted. >> the police was concerned

about violence with 52 homicides compared to only 23 at this time. >> maybe they have differences or ongoing feuds with and they target these buses. >> the victims family member showed up at the eastmont police station where the party bus ended up this morning. they claimed a 19-year-old stockton woman was one of those who died. commands that he was the father of a 21-year-old celebrating her birthday saying she was shot in her leg but in stable condition. the confirmation of who owns the bus, who charted it, a where the bus had gone or where i was heading. chp is asking for the public's health to identify the suspects and the vehicle they were in. oakland police chief armstrong visited the victims at the hospital this afternoon and spoke with reporters. >> looking at a young lady

side? >> the key thing like i said before we are running out of time. we need to have a solution. this has been going on for almost 20 years in oakland trying to find a ballpark for the a's. what we need is something everyone is looking for. our players, mlb, community, fans. we need a solution that works. we need a new ballpark. we have a great plan to finally finance it but since it has been taking so long, the league has directed us to look at at the markets. we have our first trip next week to visit las vegas to explore what could be possible. it is an exploratory trip. we will take that direction from the mlb as we look at all options to ensure the a's have a ballpark we can call our home as soon as possible. >> i know one thing some councilmembers mentioned as they would like to see and hear from the a's owner. is he available to be a part of this process or is he a part of the vegas process? where is he at this point?
