forecast coming up. dan. >> sandhya thanks. in the peninsula, san jose firefighters have been kept very busy tonight. a tree has collapsed. the police were forced to close marshal street to help detour the traffic. the good news here despite the hassle no one was hurt. breaking news now out of san francisco, a mountain lion has been found there. it's in a tree on santa marina near mission. fish and wildlife says it plans to quote, dart and remove. all this week there have been mountain lions in vernon heights. this is home surveillance video of tonight's big cat there. we'll have more on this situation for you as they become more available. developing news, high winds tonight have fire crews and martinez on alert and you can see why. three children who

with flames started esth on 680 a huge fire ball scorched a home and a lot filled with cars. three people living in the house now need a new place to stay. >> we saw smoke and my husband went next door to tell the man and his son to get out of the house and by then it was in flames. >> reporter: she says kids were playing there at the time and tried to put out the fire before it spread quickly. >> they were playing with something, they're children. whether it was their little scooters or whatever. >> reporter: investigators confirm the children sparked the fire. flames burned precariously close to an electrical tower and power lines. firefighters say it burned so hot it absorbed energy and creating explosions that just terrified neighbors. >> and contra costa firefighter say the children have now been

released to their parents. caught on camera, a customer refusing to wear a mask spitting at restaurant workers in san jose. employees at uma savory hot dogs tell del castillo this isn't the first confrontation they've had with the woman. >> reporter: in video up loaded to tiktok, a woman is seen spitting at uma this happened thursday after employees asked her to put on a mask. they said the woman had just placed an order and paid before the confrontation. adding the customer argued she had a right to remain unmasked. >> this isn't the first time she's done it. she has done it to two other coworkers and next door.

attacking two students and a teacher. police say they have now taken the 48-year-old woman to jail after she clearly went on a tirade in a classroom. staff at santa rosa charter schools says she snuck classroom and attacked two students and the teacher. police finally arrived and took her into custody. the oakland police department acknowledged tonight there's still police treat treat treat treat

expected for the strongest gust there as we head into tomorrow night. gusty coast side not so much around the inland areas. and then friday the winds will finally begin to ease although in the afternoon it gets breezy it's not expected to be quite as strong as what we've experienced tonight. now with those gusty winds even if they're coming off the cool ocean water coming off the ocean. blowing toward the land. the concern is those winds could really get fires moving so any fires that break out could be obviously problematic. so a fire danger index we're still looking at high to very high opportunity for seeing those fires developing and spreading. so watch out, be alert. 50s for most of you. a few 40s showing up tonight as you look at the hour by hour forecast. we will see some snow in the mountains tomorrow afternoon and evening, the showers continuing through saturday morning. if you have travel plans definitely be prepared because there will be some potential delays. 12:00 tomorrow afternoon until 12:00 a.m. friday.
