some snow in parts of lake county. some rain and some thunderstorms and lightning strikes in northern napa county. mainly just north of the st. helena east of calistoga. we have had several strikes. it looks like a couple of pretty heavy but localized downpours associated with the thunderstorms sell. in the east bay we have a have of light rain. it was falling in walnut creek earlier. right now reaching from san ramon eastward and a bit sort you can see the swirling system producing quite a bit of snow in the sierra. it is contributed to the unusual weather we are having at this moment but it will not last long. is likely to weaken over the next couple of hours and taper off. i will give you a look at the complete forecast in a few minutes. you are looking at our vaccine tracker. let's talk about competence in

california as we turn to the coronavirus pandemic. we have made progress against the pandemic. that progress is already paying off in the bay area. we are vaccinating people faster than the countries average. overall, over 60 million californians are fully vaccinated. several states are offering incentives to get there va numbers up. lottery jackpots, college scholarships, free game tickets to name a few. is california next? liz pena asked governor newsome that question directly today.di. >> murex governor is offering a $5 million covid vaccine lottery incentive. ohio is doing the same offering $5 million price is. why? because of this. covid vaccination numbers have been on decline for the past six weeks on a national level according to the cdc. california is also seeing this drop. >> the vaccination numbers are holding pretty steady. about 2 million over the last 7

asian americans. it has been a week since the san francisco chinatown business owner was assaulted and pepper sprayed. this was after stopping and alleged shoplifter. members of the community and abc 7 news the on land anticipated the district attorney would meet with the shop owner but they were left hanging and with any questions. >> this is the moment she was pepper sprayed in the face after she was assaulted trying to stop a young man from robbing her chinatown store saturday. is these turn of events that brought members of the media, including myself out to her cell phone accessory shop thursday morning. the district attorney has appeared at asian-american events and rallies in recent weeks. it is a move seen by certain asian americans and community groups such as the united piece
