san jose, and from our ritz camera, you can see no wind at all. it is cold in spots in the northbay. upper 30s in napa. looking at 50 in nevada with breezy winds. 47 in livermore. a look at the rest of the day today featuring the windy conditions, breezy elsewhere, low 60s by noon. upper 60s inland, but still chilly after the shoreline. inland, we will see low 70s, also seeing a chance of a shower in sonoma or napa as that system continues to exit. we will talk about the rest of the bay area and a warmer weekend in a few minutes. the fiing dely few details have been released. it happened at an apartment complex, , officers and a k-9 officer were seen surrounding the building permit no word on what led up to the shooting at the details about the victim.

the gun violence in san francisco is on the rise according to the examiner. at least 87 people have been shot in the city so far this year, compared to just 35 people shot year. file the stay-at-home order may have helped reduce gun violence, police data shows the number this year is still unusually high. the previous five year high was 68 people shot in 2017. in santa barbara, a fast- moving brushfire threatened a tv station and homes. evacuation orders have been lifted. this video shows how close it got to the station. the fire broke out at 9:00 last night. the extreme wind fueling it has eased. last check was for the present. this is a momentous milestone in the fight against covid-19. the generasps ro

76% of the population has gotten at least one shot, helping to bring down the rates in the city. that is reflected at san francisco general. >> we are at that point where this is no longer a public health emergency. when you have this many people vaccinated, where you have such few cases, and no one sick from this at our hospital. it is just amazing. >> representatives say they currently have five patients hospitalized for covid-19 within the hospitals, stanford says they also have five people. san francisco papas health director celebrated a big milestone. >> so excited to celebrate. >> very exciting news, dr. grant koufax had a special message for his team and a cake.

look at this wild weather, including hail, hitting the northbay. you can see a heavy mixture of rain and hail deck and also coaching cars yesterday. we also got reports of small hail falling in napa county. in alameda, kite surfers took advantage of the wind, zipping across the bay. so jealous of that terrain for those folks in the northbay. but it is all due to this system bringing snow and afternoon thunderstorms. could see a repeat performance later today. 44, san mateo, 42 in re eezy inspots, 39 napa51 today keeping it brisk to wendy along the coast, but not as windy as it has been.

amazon is shutting down a site in connecticut after another noose was found. the first was discovered april 27th hanging from a steel beam amazon is offering a $100,000 reward for information in the investigation. the company is closing the site until at least monday while new security measures are put in place. amazon issued a statement saying hate, racism, and discrimination have no place in our society and are certainly not tolerated by federal agents removed nearly 70

animal park that was featured in netflix's "tiger team. the justice department says it seized dozens of lions, tigers, hybrids, and a jaguar from the zoo because of ongoing violations of the endangered e nersdo ne rs to nuitn, nothing wrong. this mountain lion was spotted and captured in san francisco and now is back in the wild. oh. okay. so, here he is now at the oakland zoo. officers tranquilized him in front of a home and then brought him to the zoo for an exam. it turns out he traveled from santa cruz to san francisco. vets examined him, he is healthy and they gave him a new nickname, mr. hanson. he was released into a safe space in santa clara county. southern california man found after spending five days

lost in the angeles national forest. a helicopter picked up 58-year- old georgia note yesterday after rescuers spotted him living in a deep canyon. he had minor scratches, but was otherwise unhurt. officials say he hadn't eaten since going missing five days ago. he did find clean water to drink and used a lighter to keep himself warm at night. think the nests. really resourceful. his sister said her brother is an experienced hiker, but told her he became disoriented in an area burned by a wildfire last year, which the forestry service has recommended hikers avoid. ikea is recalling dishes because they can be the burnt. the recall is for these colorful bowls, plates, and mugs. here is the problem, they can become brittle and break, causing hot food or drinks to leak. there are more than 100 pieces

they picked up 1000 meals to deliver to individuals and community groups. >> paying the restaurant owner,a she is so gracious, she cooked up these meals. we just loaded the boxes onto the van and they are going to go deliver those, and after this delivery, home-court will conclude after delivering 12,000 meals to bay area families and communities in need. >> home-court assist started as a collaboration between the warriors and chase in january. since then, nine restaurants from all around the bay area have participated, eating meals to 23 community organizations. after being canceled by the pandemic in 2020, the stern grove festival will be back for the 84th season kih eets each sunday through august 29th.

28% increase in vaccinations, new york is hoping to get lucky with its new incentive, the state is now offering scratch off tickets to vaccinated adults that are worth up to $5 clinics. there at the wilcox high school from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m., and another at gilroy high school from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. the department of public health is kicking off a family- friendly drop in vaccination event. there will be free snacks, entertainment, and a raffle. the event is at the market, it runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and anyone over the age of 12 is welcome to come out. the president has signed a bill designed to fight a surge in dissemination against members of the aapi community. >> my message is we see you. congress has said, we see you. we are committed to stopping

at an abandoned home in walnut creek. it appears transients may have been in or around the home recently. no one was inside went a fire broke out yesterday. investigators determined the fire started outside. the contra costa fire protection district says three teenaged boys playing with a burning tennis ball accidentally started this fire in martinez. the fire destroyed a home and several cars. investigators say the boys lit the tennis ball on fire and played a game of stickball. the grass fire started when they hit the ball into dry vegetation. the case has been sent to the district attorney's office. turning to something more positive happening tonight, it is do or die for the warriors. we are not even going to address what happened with the lakers wednesday, moving on, moving on. the focus is on beating the memphis grizzlies. here to break it all down for us is amy hollyfield with her lucky middle part for tonight.

the workplace. >> they have set a june 3rd hearing to consider revised rules. apple's ceo will take the stand today in the courtroom battle with epic games. the creator of the popular videogame fortnite is suing apple after the company kicked fortnite off the app store bypassing the payment system. apple says epic reached a contract, but epic is accusing apple of turning the app store into an illegal monopoly. the head of the company testified earlier this month. the ceo of colonial pipeline will face tough questions when he testifies before congress next month. he is scheduled to appear before the house homeland security on june 9th. lawmakers will question him on the cyber attack that led to the shutdown of colonial pipeline, that shutdown triggered gatorein control ofthe system.
