on this saturday morning as we mentioned there, we are bringing you'll love from shops across oo that is ahead, but we have a lot to cover this morning and we begin with the first named storm, one week before the official hurricane season even begins. >> subtropical storm ana forming northeast of bermuda with big waves headed for the northeast this weekend and already flooded texas and louisiana now expecting more rain and powerful wind gusts. >> this less than a day after officials called for the evacuation of hundreds of homes after a portable dam breached in louisiana, so let's go back to rob, who's been covering this all morning. rob, good morning. >> hey, good morning, dan. yeah, we don't need any more rain in this part of the world. just last week we were in miami highlighting that the national hurricane center was starting their forecast two weeks before hurricane season because we've been basically starting hurricane season earlier. this is the seventh year in a row where we've had a named storm before the official start

which is junwee got e ots out e winds of 45 lean hour, not going to do too much to bermuda. a little wind and rain and then drift off and dissipate but we do have waves propagating to the west and that means that the northeast actually seeing a little bit of wave action from this. five-footers coming into the jersey shore, good for surfing but rip currents as well and a lot of people will be heading to the shore because it's going to be so hot this weekend. let's go to louisiana, over 20 inches of rainfall, lake charles got hit with hurricanes last year and they had a dam breach and downriver more flooding there and we're completely saturated here. probably not named but west of louisiana but three to five inches more here in texas and that could cause some more flooding. eva, back over to you. >> all right, thanks, rob. turning to the lates.ar 1li

vainats op elwyn lopez is at >> reporter: eva, good morning. nearly half of the country seeing a low to moderate transmission of the virus but vaccination rates are dropping and now states are pulling out all the stops to try and turn it around. covid cases nose-diving to the lowest level yet, for the first time in nearly a year. >> as more and more people roll deaths every week. parts of that state now seeing younger people hospitalized.

>> the people that are coming to us now with a need to be hospitalized are more middle age or younger that have chosen not to get vaccinated. a lot of them are sharing their regrets with us that they wish they had been vaccinated because they had no idea it could be this bad. >> reporter: meanwhile, in california, one of the largest hospitals in the bay area hitting a milestone. its first time in more than a year with no covid patients. >> i did have tears in my eyes. it feels like a milestone. there are zero transmissions at san francisco general. >> reporter: this as the golden state is set to drop its capacity caps and social distancing measures. when it re-opens on june 15th. but it's not a green light. indoor venues with more than 5,000 people will require proof of vaccination or negative covid test. and in oregon, officials are offering up a cash prize to those with at least one shot. >> how about a chance to win a million dollars? take your shot, oregon. >> reporter: dr. fauci speaking with "gma" this morning about

>> let's change subjects, to our cover story, prince harry opening up about his mental health in a new docu-series, the duke of sussex bringing viewers really into a therapy session, quite brave. let's go back to lama hasan outside buckingham palace with that story. lama, good morning once again. >> reporter: yeah, good morning to you, dan. well, emdr, which stands for eye movement desensitization reprocessing, is a form of therapy that was developed by psychologists in the 1980s to treat depression, anxiety and trauma by letting you recall a traumatic memory and replacing the emotions associated with it. this morning, the duke of sussex opening up like never before about his struggles with mental health and his decision to get therapy. >> what made you think you needed it? >> the past, to heal myself from the past. >> reporter: teaming up with oprah winfrey for a new apple tv plus series called "the me you can't see." prince harry says he spent most of his life trying to avoid processing the trauma from losing his mother princess diana when he was just 12 years old.

>> i didn't want to think about her because if i think about her then it's going to bring up the fact that i can't bring her back and it's just going to make me sad and i just decided not to talk about it. >> reporter: letting cameras inside during a therapy session as he discusses the anxiety he experienced throughout his life when flying back home to the uk. >> i just remember the feeling, almost anxiety, like a hollow empty feeling of almost nervousness of, is it fear? >> reporter: harry's therapist guiding him through a process called eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy or emdr. >> the purpose of emdr therapy is to reprocess traumas, adversities, challenging life experiences. >> reporter: emdr is recommended for treatment of ptsd in certain cases. it uses dual attention stimuli and in prince harry's case, tapping his shoulders while

focusing on a painful experience to help the brain associate new feelings with that memory. >> it's changing the way that the experience is stored and when the brain changes the way it's stored, you feel differently about it. >> emdr is always something that i wanted to try. >> reporter: for harry, he says it's all part of the healing process. >> tune back in and see what comes up now. >> calmness and strength. strength because of the calmness. >> reporter: now, prince harry says emdr is one of a variety of different forms of healing and curing that's worth experimenting with. adding that it has helped his mental health. now, interestingly, the world health organization recognizes it as an effective treatment for children. dan. >> lama, thanks so much. and as eva said it's great to see you back on "gma" on a saturday morning. really brave of harry to let the cameras in and when somebody with his platform talks about mental illness, it really enables a lot of us to reduce

it's very moving. it's also very funny. you can watch that on netflix. >> and ryan told "the advocate" that he got the representation as he worked on this trail blazing show. it's been quite a journey for ryan. it all that started with his book "i'm special." so be sure to check out a cameo from leslie jordan this season. a lot to look forward to. andrea, now to music, a highly anticipated album is already streaming. tell us more about that one. >> everyone is talking about olivia rodrigo and her debut album called "sour" which is out now. she burst on to the music scene with her hit single called "driver's license" which is amazing. she actually wrote a lot of these songs on the album from her bedroom, from her producer's garage, very casual feel. now, fans notice that taylor swift is credited on one of her songs called "one step forward, three steps back." what's the story here? unfortunately it's not a collab. olivia just borrowed a melody from taylor's song and it's called an interpolation. new word that i learned.
