the offshore winds, any wind at all, dries us out. it has been breezy out there. today, no exception. we have a marine layer. you can see the clouds along the coast. the low cloud deck has pushed across the bay into oakland. clear in concord as well as livermore. 43, nevada. 20 miles per hour san francisco. 22 gusts at concord. we will start with clouds. then we are sunny. low to mid-60s noontime. it stays cool at the coast. we will have breezy afternoon winds. today temperatures continue to and up a little, getting closer to average. we will talk about your monday which should be the warmest day the weekend with the winds will do for the rest of the week, coming up. we start in the north bay.

sonoma county is under control after destroying at least one building along the weay and healdsburg. flames broke out yesterday afternoon. at one point forcing a temporary closure 101 over concerns of spot fires. flames scorched firefighters at the upper hand. nobody was hurt. investigators are trying to determine if it started in the building that burned or brush nearby and then spread. another reminder that this year is setting up for one of the earliest and potentially longest fire seasons on record. a year after the most destructive season ever, the state can barely take much more. abc7 news laura anthony has that part of the story. >> reporter: it's go time for these goats as they play fire s heating up months ahead of schedule. with fires like this eight acre event on a may day that wasn't particularly warm, all signs

thousands of people in a major city spent the night outdoors after a volcano erupted. molten lava sent homes on fire as it slowly spread. officials say the eruption seems to have subsided.
