aaa predict more than 37 million will travel for the memorial day weekend. 4.5 million californians will hit the road. the tsa is expecting to screen 27 million people by monday. we are expecting to see the highest gas prices in years. california leads the nation and the bay area is no exception. according to aaa on average, a gallon is going for $3.37. many people are taking a big step this memorial day weekend and traveling for the first time since the pandemic began. but is it safe to stay in a hotel for example? cornell bernard spoke with health experts to find out. >> i'm smiling under my mask. >> we love it. >> eric and sally miguel from sacramento are spending memorial day weekend in san francisco. it's their first get away in more than a year. >> it brings a sense of freedom
