the video shows officers pointing a gun at stanley as they were conducting an armed robbery investigation. the neighbor's home security show's the officers were in plain clothes in an unmarked vehicle and did not announce themselves as police. the police department said it is being transparent with the family. >> officer-involved shooting, person of color. there are a lot of questions. people want's. we are meeting with the family. we are sharing as much information as we can with them. >> the monday night shooting marks the second deadly shooting of the year. today is a week since the vta shooting that left nine people dead.

occurred it would occur in this fashion. the firefighter who died worked there for 30 years. the suspect was involved in an ongoing dispute with a choe worker. reggie? officials are blaming fireworks for a vegetation fire that destroyed to apartment buildings in antioch. they arrested a 44-year-old man. the man threw a firecracker into the field behind the apartments. it destroyed eight units and displaced 40 people. an influential labor group has launched a group to fight the recall against governor newsom. they say that newsom has been good to workers during the pandemic fighting for strong worker protections >> it threatens the decades of

investigating what sparked a massive fire in a home garage. a resident said it may have been his car. crews were called to tisdale way. the inside of that garage is charred. there appears to be damage to the white tesla driveway. new details involving the mass shooting at the vta. today marks one week since the gunman killed nine people at the rail yard. president community is mourning the victims. amy hollyfield is live at the rail yard with what first responders saw and heard at the scene. >> reporter: you see it all in this video, reggie from the second they arrived here a you see gut is scary to tch.

you hear gunshots. >> sheriff's office. sheriff's office. >> reporter: five officers storm into the building while shots are still being fired. they do locate the gunman. his image is blurred out in the video but he is slumped in a chair with a gun in his hand. he had shot himself. he had taken nine lives, shot and killed nine of his coworkers at the vta. >> we will never forget those nine victims office lives were taken by a crazed coward. >> reporter: here are pictures of the nine victims. the sheriff believes there would have been more victims if the officers had not arrived. the gunman had three guns there. were more than 100 vta

russian government. russian officials had no comment when asked about the attack. president biden will still with russian president vladimir putin this month. derek chauvin's federal court case on civil rights charges related to the killing of george floyd is underway. chauvin is the minneapolis officer convicted in state court. yesterday he appeared in a virtual hearing where he was read his rights. he is expected to be sentenced in estate court on june 25th. marin county is the first northbound county to enter the yellow tier. that means businesses can expand indoor services. solano county has moved to orange.
