stoneridge mall. we are working to find out more and will bring you the very latest. to women shot inside of an east oakland apartment complex this morning. it happened around 10:00. both victims were rushed to the hospital with injuries thatthatt oakland described as serious. the women were shot by another woman after an altercation. nearly 2 weeks since a man opened fire at a vta railyard in san jose killing nine people, the sample the san jose mayor is proposing measures that could reduce gun violence. he made the announcement in front of the memorial for those victims outside of city hall. the proposals include making every gun owner have liability insurance. gunowners could be charged withh a fee that could go toward the cost of responding to gun violence. >> the second amendment protects the rights of americans to own guns but does not require every other taxpayer pay for that right. these gun deaths are preventable. we can save lives and make our community safer. the

proposal would require all gun sales be recorded on video. eight cars were damaged after an suv caught fire in a parking garage at sfo this morning. this fire started after 6:00 onf the fourth floor in the domestic parking garage near terminal 1. the driver was inside of the car when fire and spread to several other vehicles. the driver got out and was treated at the scene. officials don't know why the suv burst into flames but the fire is not suspicious. now to the latest coronavirus headlines. pfizer is moving into phase two and phase three trials for vaccines for kids 5-11 for a lower dosage than adults get. the u.s. is more than 180,000 shots per day behind president joe biden's goal. 13 states including california have reached the 70% threshold.

officials in sonoma county used a part of a federal grant to install the ai system. is successful in sonoma the company is hoping to add more counties around the bay area and statewide. oakland resident scanned apply for the income pilot program. it is 100% financed by private donors. the first round of applications for the family program opens for 300 families who live within one square mile or one squall meyer of east oakland and a second round of applications will open citywide for another 300 families. that will be later this summer. applicants will be randomly selected to get $500 a month for a year and a half. >> previous guaranteed income demonstrations such as in stockton have demonstrated that when people have the security of an income floor, they are able to gain more employment. they are able to get the mental health in order and take care of their families and help

after spending 15 months apart during the pandemic, high school seniors in oakland were finally able to come together as a class for their graduation ceremony. they couldn't wait to reconnectn we captured this bittersweet moment of hellos and goodbyes for our ongoing ongoing ongoing graduation will really be special. not a lot of the students have seen each other since their junior year. there is going to be almost like a reunion of coming together and also parting of ways. this will be maybe the first time and maybe the last time that the students will be together like like like like li >> we haven't seen each other in over a year. i really miss these guys. having a day like this even during the pandemic is a
