tug boats and fire boats provided escort across the bay. the submarine was docked in alameda after high winds damaged it. they are restoring the relic back to its original position from 1945 after the war. the submarine is hoping to reopen for tours next wednesday. it is well worth it. kind of a fun trip, especially with some kids. good stuff. >> that does sound good. what's the weather gonna be like? >> we've been enjoying some seasonably cool weather this season. it's going to change into the weekend, especially

next week. hot temperatures making a comeback. outside right now, san jose camera, tons of sunshine on our thursday. beautiful bay to beach skies. but look off on the horizon and our hills are brown. already. an update on our drought monitor. the new numbers just came out this morning. you look at california, 85% of the state in extreme or exceptional drought. under that exceptional o'clock, much of the state as well. and now that exceptional drought category is pushing into the city, so a majority of the bay area is under that worst drought category. winds right now, another day we cannot rid ourselves of this windy weather pattern. 20 to 30 miles per hour. that onshore flow is keeping those unseasonably cool temperatures in place.

but today we were a few degrees warmer compared to yesterday. 59 in the city, 65 in oakland. 58 in san jose. warmer in concord at 72 degrees. live doppler 7 along the satellite there, is a storm just off of our coastline. and it is going to bring rain to the pacific northwest. high pressure is going to block a majority of this rain from coming anywhere close to california. except the area of extreme northern california along the california/oregon border, could see a little bit of wet weather. increasing high clouds overnight tonight. especially first thing tomorrow morning in the north bay. you'll notice a mix of sun and clouds. brighter skies as you head south. but there you go. look at that rain. so close. i don't think it's out of the of question. points north may get a drop or two tomorrow evening. but really the rain is gonna stay from eureka and points to the north.
