found by hikers on a southern nevada trail two weeks ago. authorities rescued the boy's mother in colorado earlier this week. >> reporter: a crowd of family and friends. nicholas describes his seven-year-old son elixiram. the little boy with a big smile. >> this was his second home. every time. every day. here. this is the park he'd want to go. >> reporter: now the uphill battle to make any sense of what happened to his son. his body was found on a trailhead outside las vegas on may 28th. he was formally identified earlier this week after investigators got a tip from a family friend who recognized the child and called police. police found and arrested the boy's mother on

he's cost us more than $215 in this state. we need to build an economy that is pro-business, less taxes, less regulation. or you know what? there's other states who do it other ways and we're gonna lose them all. >> reporter: jenner says she's not worried about how much covid-19 has improved in california with one of the lowest transmission levels in the country and huthat could help newsom. >> he's really destroyed an entire generation of kids. parents, people are not gonna forget those type of thing. all of the companies out here, 33% of all restaurants have closed permanently. people are not gonna forget that. >> let's talk immigration. a very important topic here in california. what are your plans for trump's border wall? >> right now we're spending wls on a high-speed train to nowhere. take some of that money, go down to the border wall and completely finish on state land, completely finish the wall.
