clear to see. the scene is still very active. westerly take you straight into that white truck in the distance. that is not a parking spot. i'm told that truck reversed plowing through the outdoor dining area and into a group of people. when police arrived they found three people injured one person critically. video from earlier in the night showed first responders doing all they could to save that person performing cpr and working quickly to get them to the hospital. san jose police said that person died at the hospital. now sjpd says they also took a female driver into custody, she was arrested suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. a neighbor who lives down the street says when he arrived shortly after the crash he noticed a seizable crowd. keep in mind it night. the truck in the center of an

news drew. >> once this heat moves in it is going to last several days. this dangerous heat will move into several states over next week from tuesday to friday we already have excessive heat warnings and excessive heat watches across four states for next week. that excessive heat watch extends to the valley. i would not be surprised if we see some watchings and warnings in our neck of the woods in the next few days. this heat peaks on thursday. concord, yeah you're going to go past 100 degrees. we're going to get a full look at the weather. hieldsburg is now tightening water restráeubgs. restrictions. the use of sprinklers and drip irrigation is banned. the goal is to reduce water use city wide. violators can face up to $1,000 per day on fines.

almost swallowed by a hump back whale this morning. he spoke with re chan. >> reporter: miker packert was limping out of the hospital in scrubs. >> i thought to myself. okay this is it. i finally, i'm going to die. >> reporter: packert was diving for lobsters when he said he was caught in the mouth of a hump back whale. >> i was diving, i got down to 45 feet of water and all of a sudden i just, felt this huge bump and everything went dark. then i realized, oh my god i'm in a whale's mouth. i'm in a whale's mouth. and he's trying to swallow me. >> reporter: packerd said his mouth was racing scrambling not only to escape but wonder if he

>> yeah. let's get to our weather for the weekend. >> we're tracking a really nice warmer and that hotter weather moving next week. mostly cloudy skies and a look up to some fog first thing tomorrow morning. live doppler 7 7 7 7 7 tracking showers throughout the next few days. the storm system just couldn't make it any farther south. the reason why high pressure on live doppler 7 along with satellite blocked any moisture from moving into most of california. so that high is going to be responsible for the hot temperatures next week. and tonight we're just getting a little bit of that moisture from that falling front in the form of higher humidity. dewpoints which measures moisture in the atmosphere. right now the dewpoints are rising in the 60s. and when they're in the 60s it's going to feel muggy out there. right now temperatures it's pretty nice night if you

stepped outside. we're in the upper 50s to mid- 60s right now. 62 in san jose, 65 right now in napa. let's go hour by hour, future weather we have coastal cloud cover. first thing in the morning th-t this is 7:00 a.m. that fog is going to pull out of the coast pretty quickly tomorrow morning. that means a lot of sunshine tomorrow. it'll be a little warmer tomorrow than they were today. we'll have temperatures mild compared to what we were at last night. last night we dropped into the 40s tonight we will drop only into the mid- and upper 50s. 56 in oakland, 50 in santa rosa. 57 in concord, 56 in san jose. tomorrow you will notice increased humidity. you will also notice warmer temperatures. 68 in san francisco hit about 80 in santa rosa and san rafael. 90 in fairfield. 85 in concord. tomorrow we hit that breeze once again we can't get rid of it. seems like we had it yesterday
