. a live look outside this morning. get ready for with inland temperatures reaching triple digits. good morning, it is monday, june 14th. you are watching abc seven news mornings. we have the forecast. by the end of the week it is going to be scorching. >> it is even hot here in san francisco. we call it nice, one of those rare days where we hit the 70s maybe upper 80. but right now there is fog, mist and drizzle. it is muggy, 2 degrees to 4 degrees warmer than yesterday.

that results in temperatures in the mid 60s in the peninsula. the marine layer is going to thin out by the mid morning. rn mid 70s noontime inland. 80s inland. 60s at the coast. this morning, there is light at the end of the tunnel in this pandemic. bay area businesses and communities are gearing up to fully reopen tomorrow. we have been counting down to june 15th. that is the day that our governor says our state's economy is going to reopen. amy is live where one town planning a party. >> reporter: picture this plaza celebrating with a big party. that is the plan tomorrow. they are going to have barbecue and live music and they are going to honor and celebrate

first responders and healthcare workers and the fact that we get to ditch our masks. a lot of businesses are preparing to open to full capacity tomorrow. the barrel room will be opening for the first time since march of 2020. that means training the staff again. >> i am feeling excited. i am feeling nervous. i am feeling like most of our staff are really excited about it. we are in the financial district, it is a gamble. most of the offices are not open. we are looking forward to a slow summer but that is good for us to get back into the groove. >> starting tomorrow, the state will stop using the color coded covid-19 tier system and will drop face mask restrictions and social distancing requirements

they released results from their phase three trials and they said the vaccine is effective in preventing severe disease. when approved they expect to make 150 million doses a month by the end of the year. >> even with the bay area's promising vaccination rates scientists are concerned about the highly infectious delta variant. we got answers from health experts about what we need to keep in mind. even though we far outpace india when it comes to vaccinations, the focus needs to be on vaccinating the rest of the population fast. >> the danger is that as the virus replicates around the world there will be a variant that will evade the vaccines we

putin next week. >> that summit is just days away. president biden said he agrees with the russian leader on thing, their contentious relationship. biden is expected to reaffirm our commitment to article five, an attack on one member is an attack on all. that includes major cyber attack. national security adviser jake sullivan pushed back on the idea that the president would do a cyber criminal prisoner swap. >> he was talking about accountability and the idea that responsible countries should be held accountable to not harboring cyber criminals and to bringing cyber criminals to justice. >> 49% of americans have a great or good amount of trust

in president biden to negotiate with putin. he president said he hopes to find areas where they can work together. in san francisco dozens of people are out of their homes because of this fire. it broke out at the national hotel on market street. flames could be seen coming out of the back of the building. a person got video of a huge cloud of smoke drifting down the street. firefighters evacuated this three story building and rescued 80 people and two dogs. the hotel offers housing to people facing homelessness. >> i could not see out the window. it was just thick with black smoke. >> the red cross was brought in to help provide shelter. the building is next to the strand theater but it is not damaged. a dog park is closed today because ghosts have taken over.

hollywood is remembering actor ned beatty. he received an oscar nomination for his role in network. he died of natural causes in los angeles yesterday. >> the united states supreme court is going to decide if they are going to hear a potentially blockbuster issue, whether the ban the consideration of race in college admissions. five years ago the court ruled that colleges may consider race in applications but must do so

today kamala harris kick off a national vaccine tour. her husband, doug emhoff, the first lady and others in the th biden cabinet will also be visiting pop up clinics around the region. a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by staff at a huston hospital who refused to get their vaccine. more than 100 employees sighed a huston hospital because it is required to get vaccinated. the lawsuit calls the vaccine experimental and dangerous. the judge agreed with the hospital saying that the claims about the vaccine are not true. lawyers are going to be filing an appeal. >> we are getting exclusive
