[ laughter ] as you know, jimmy is off until september. he's like an elementary school teacher that makes $15 million a year. [ cheers and applause ] i have been watching, yes. that is my brother, and we've known each other since my junior year in high school. his sophomore year. we actually met for the first time when we were in eighth we've been friends ever since. >> arsenio: yeah, and we hear and read that you all are friends. but it's deeper than i realized. he was at the hospital for the birth of one of your children. >> yeah. he was at the hospital for the birth of my second child, my second son, bryce maximus. and it happened to be during the nba finals then. >> arsenio: wow, yeah. >> so he's the godfather of bryce. and bryce came out the night before. and then i went on to proceed to get my ass kicked by the spurs the next day. [ laughter ] so it was no sleep for me then.

>> arsenio: yes. the legendary coach of the spurs is having some problems with this international olympics situation. i know these are preliminary games, but what's your opinion on all that? >> i think they'll figure it out. a little bit early. but you know, just adjusting. you know, you've been playing the nba game for seven, eight, nine months and then have to go to the international game, it's a lot different. so it takes a few games to get into it. but popp, you know, he's all about winning and he's definitely not about no disrespect when it comes to him and his players. popp going to always stick up for them. >> arsenio: what's the biggest difference? if you were coaching them, what's the first thing you say about the international game that's different than our game? >> well, you've got to play with the pass a lot more. in our game we do a lot of isolation. because we have those isolation basketball players, the great guys that can do it off the bounce, create shots of their own. but the international game they do it a lot more with the pass,

with the mind. you've got to be able to adjust to that really quickly. and also you can also do some things, you can take the ball off the rim. the goaltending. you know, if the ball's sitting around the rim you can actually smack it off the rim, which you can't do in our game. so that's an adjustment period as well. i think our guys, they'll adjust quickly. >> arsenio: you mentioned the word passing. my friend can pass, magic johnson. your friend chris paul can pass. i was very upset when the nba, i don't know the technicalities, but they kind of blocked chris paul coming here -- >> they like vetoed the trade to come -- i've never seen that. in nba history. and i was excited as heck for c.p. i thought the lakers faithful was excited to get him. and then you know, they just -- they vetoed it. but it's working out for him right now, i'll tell you. years later it's working out for him. >> arsenio: could it still happen? and would you like it to still happen? [ cheers and applause ] wait, wait, wait. no, no. i know why you're laughing. because that would be tampering or something, right, if i talk about that?

commissioned a sculpture that would be 3 foot tall, almost a meter tall, of her head for my yard, my garden. and she said, no, you're crazy. i said, yeah, i know i'm crazy. she said, "you are crazy." i said, "i stand happily so." [ cheers and applause ] every day i see her. >> arsenio: now, this is none of my business, but i think -- in my research i found out you have two homes? >> i do. but i'm so rich. [ laughter ] >> arsenio: does your -- >> like you. >> arsenio: -- streisand travel to the different homes? >> no, i have the original sculpted one in my yard, at the bottom of the yard. when i look out the windows, there she is every day, all day long, all night long. and in this cottage that i've got in the countryside, the sculptor had made a facsimile of it in fiberglass. and i said, what's happening to that one? because i'd paid for it. he said, oh, it will just be trashed. and i said, no, no, no, no.
