superintendent is holding a meeting for teens. the zoom meeting will be held at 3:00 in the california education facebook and instagram based book page. safety learning lost during covid-19 and building relationships. that is the focus for one school district making the final touches for plans to return to in-person learning. we are live at the high school with more on this. >> reporter: good morning. the school district will be focusing on keeping them safe from the coronavirus, buts, the district will be focusing on more than just the students' ey did anunce protocols thming ho ar announcing that all students will come back to in-person learning and they will be required to wear masks, stay repeat apart from others and do and at home health screening

every day. the school district will also focus on students' mental health after year of isolation and the academic status and how much learning lost each student suffered after a year on zouma. >> they can really key in on where the gaps in our students, in the learning, and then be able to put in the strategies for teaching and interventions and the interactions with the students. to address possible mental health issues, the teachers will spend the first six weeks focusing on building relationships with students and address social and emotional needs. the district has 28,000 students who will be back in person. they will have informational meetings at the end of the month to help parents understand what the school year will look like. hundreds of san francisco bars may be requiring proof of vaccination. the san francisco bar alliances

considering whether to issue a statement recommending only vaccinated patrons in. science will go up outside bars who choose to participate. a formal decision is likely not going to be made until next week at the earliest. but one alliance member, the vesuvius cafc in north beach have reportedly already started to require proof. the latest on the proposed park in oakland. the city council voted 6-1 on a nonbinding agreement for them to build at howard terminal. the plan would see the city assuming responsibility for off- site transportation and infrastructure improvements and it would increase the affordable housing commitment, among other things. the team is already raising concerns. the a's president says that they are not even further out fully aware of everything in the city's plan. this of the proposal that was brought to the council was not even voted on. the team has said it is prepared to negotiate and move to las vegas if they cannot

paramedics in san francisco have the authority to put people on 72 hour mental health holds. the board of supervisors approved the legislation yesterday as the city shifts to nonpolice responses to homelessness and i would one calls. it gives paramedics had authority if they believe the person is experiencing a mental health crisis and is a danger to themselves or others. prior to this, only police officers or doctors could order the holds. a former u.s. attorney at this point is serving as a special counsel to help coordinate prosecution of unemployment fraud cases. mcgregor scott launched an investigation after thousands of fraudulent claims were filed in the names of prison inmates. they have determined more than $11 billion in benefits were paid on the fraudulent claims. $19 billion in suspicious claims are now under investigation. a record number of job

your commute this morning. injuries reported here. you can see a slowdown on the map right now. according to the chp, a big rig overturned on southbound 680 on the offramp and the ramp has been shut down. and they have started train testing on the central subway line. the central subway will link the metro line up to chinatown. the project has been delayed and gone over budget several times since it began in 2012. this video from 2019 shows the subway under construction. the central subways expected to open to the public next year. we will be right back.
