there is another sign of just how bad the drought is in california, and farmers could be the ones who take the brunt of it. the state water resources control board put out an order that would keep farmers from tapping into the state's rivers and streams. this would then affect those in the sacramento and san joaquin river watersheds. many farmers in the central valley have already seen their water allocations reduced. keep in mind, it's not final, but the board is set to vote on august 3rd. the gilroy garlic festival is back after two difficult years. this was the first after a mass shooting in 2019, and last year

nextdoor. so muttville contacted the owner. you can see there just how happy they are to be reunited so. sweet. check out this time lapse of the moon over washington, d.c., last night. it suddenly becomes orange tinted. now, the reason for the color change as you watch it is the smoke from the western wildfires has drifted all the way across the country. earlier this week, we saw pictures of thick blankets of haze over new york city and philadelphia, also caused by the smoke. this reminds me of last summer when everywhere in the country we saw that haze. >> yeah, and right now the winds, they're onshore. so for us, the smoke is getting pushed to the east. and it'll stay that way for the second half of the weekend too, but issues arise if you go to tahoe, where it is unhealthy in terms of air quality right now. outside a live look from our east bay hills camera. you've got the marine layer sitting pretty nicely along our coast right now. a very july-like looking picture this afternoon. tahoe right now a live look.
