trampled down some of the grass and one of the areas that is hard to know exactly where you are. >> it certainly does explain in fact it took three weeks perhaps not confirmed yet but he yk. had been missing for three weeks. authorities and an army of volunteers has been searching for this husband and father that went missing after taking a run with his cell phone left in the car. everyone has been worried sick and if this is in fact philip kreycik, not the outcome that everybody was hoping for. this news conference ended as we came on the air. >> today at approximately 2:30 pm a citizen and volunteer was searching for philip kreycik in the area of the northern part of the pleasanton rich.

that person located a deceased individual matching the description of philip kreycik who has been missing approximately three weeks. currently there are detectives from the pleasanton police department and officers and detectives from the east bay regional police department assisting in the early stages and collecting evidence and will be joined momentarily by representatives from the alameda county sheriff bureau who will assist with the identification of the body and the cause of death and investigation. >> some of the news conference held just a few minutes ago wrapping up with the discovery of a body believed to be that of 38-year-old philip kreycik who went off for a run a little over three weeks ago and never

moderna? >> the medical center is considering supplemental booster shots to staff and patients who received the johnson & johnson shot but a formal decision have not been made yet. the hospital system is awaiting for federal guidelines to be released in the next couple of weeks. we go to a new kind of vaccination debate, a story the first brought you last night on abc7 news now being discussed by the fda and the cdc and the white house. kate larson has the latest response to a move in san francisco to give some people an extra covid vaccine shot. >> reporter: people are surprised and they are confused and truly the same reaction i had yesterday when i heard the doctors chief of emergency medicine say on the 3:00 p.m.

for anyone else who wants it who comes from outside of the county. i spoke today to doctor colwell who says he has been getting a lot of phone calls about this. he fully stands by his support for the extra vaccine dose and also sent me an email that he received this evening from the new york city health department and it says that new york city has had similar discussions about a booster or supplemental vaccine and would like to know how sf general came to their decision. while san francisco seems to be going a bit off book it may not be for long. a group of east bay teachers and parents is demanding that public schools return to virtual instruction. they claim that students are at risk because they are not eligible to receive the vaccine . >> i am so scared to return to school that i cannot be there today. i would really encourage all

we are monitoring 15 wildfires burning across the state. you can get the latest information on fires in california on our website. go to www.abc7news.com. the state's largest wildfire, it is now at 393 square miles and 35% contained. a bear cub escaped from a rescue center where he was being treated for burns from the tamarac fire. they are asking for the help of the public in locating the 6- month-old black bear. he escaped his enclosure and managed to tunnel under an electric fence in south lake
