heard. we have video last night of the crime scene. p police are looking at the car that is full of bullet holes. they've not send this time how many people were shot. this happened in concord on pine street. this is off of highway 242. this is the street mind with apartment complexes that residents could be seen standing outside late last night and wondering about what happened. police are just now wrapping up the investigation here at the scene. they spent all night here gathering evidence. we have calls into the concord police department to get more details and we are waiting to hear back. hollyfield, abc7 news. investigators working to piece together what might have happened to a missing runner in the east bay. they found the body. it was believed to be 37-year- old. that's we went last month and then never returned home.

here is j.r. stone. shortly after a volunteer hiker came across human remains under this rush. >> they located a deceased individual. matching the description. >> reporter: he was a husband and father. the 37-year-old was seen on july 10. while an official ideas yet to be made, authorities are confident that this is indeed the man. the remain was found right after game two use by animals and could look like a normal trail. >> he was located about 250 yards off of the trail near a tree. that is what we know at this point. you could see homes in pleasanton and then the area where the discovery was made. in the area we connect to close because of the terrain, but due to our skype 7 mapping system

there was a bounce house for kids. in the east bay, the oakland police chief his department is making progress at reducing violent crime. this is during a zoom news conferencing that when he took office, homicides were 100% and now they are at 58%. >> the homicides are still unacceptable. there is still a lot more work to do. i just want the residents of the community of oakland to know that we are focused and we are doing our best to manage the spike in violence. the department says that no lives were lost a violence. he says he's reaching out to the community and working with the oakland violence prevention project. beefing up presence at the plaza to stop grab and run thefts. nordstrom asked for help and will volunteer to reimburse the

this is to note this morning. conquer police investigating a deadly shooting on pine street near some apartments. the corner was there but police have not said how many people were shot. police believe they have found the body of a missing runner in the east bay. 37-year-old philip kreycik went missing last month while out for a job. they are try to figure out what happened. san francisco says that it is exploring a new york city type of the mandate requiring proof of vaccination for a range of indoor activities. the hope is that the demand for proof will encourage the unvaccinated to get vaccinated. full approval of the covid- 19 vaccine could come by early next month. full approval could speed up the process for covid-19 vaccines for kids under 12.

the liberty high school district is seeing more covid- 19 among students. they are committed to staying open. five more covid cases were reported yesterday amongst the students. the superintendent says that a total of 13 students have tested positive for but only 15 set foot on campus. five step numbers also took a positive test. josh becker is urging school districts to require
