stephanie sierra is tracking the latest on testing from every county and has more on what we can expect over the next few weeks. >> health officials say this demand has been overwhelming in some counties and especially in the last few weeks. the good news is every single county is working on expanding capacity to make negotiations to open new sites. >> as a delta variant is threatening be even more contagious surge, looking at more testing. >> we are seeing an increased demand in testing. >> the demand has skyrocketed over the past few weeks. >> we have gone from 1000 tests per week to 10,000 tests per week because of the demand. >> the county is expanding

testing sites and is working to increase staffing to avoid any backlog and reduced turnaround times. >> they are talking to the laboratory about going back to weekend staffing and runninrunnn tests >> the increase is reported in every bay area county and across california. state data shows that the seven- day average covert test rate for 100,000 people was 260. a few weeks later, in late july, the average jumped to 401. all counties are partnering with healthcare providers or community clinics to offer testing but most already have additional vendors under contract. >> we are working with our local land and are making sure we have the lab capacity to do this testing as wellwellwellwell

almost 4000. >> what do you do when you have a high demand? you bring the testing to the people. >> so easy and convenient and fast. >> this is free and accessible for all types of needs. too my employer is saying i need to get tested twice a week because i don't want to get the vaccine. >> we decided to get tested. >> the county is recommended to get tested if you show symptoms or have been exposed or to have routine testing for nonvaccinated people. >> we need to expand our testing and we have hoped to scale that back but have rapidly re-expanded and are getting close to the level that we had available to the community in the december surge timeline. >> reporter: the bus will be back here tomorrow from 10:00

danville bowl could be in hot water after pushing back against the mask mandate and refusing to enforce it. he has supporters. >> i am looking for something for my kids to do over the summer in air conditioning. >> reporter: katie brought her kids to danville bowling but realized not everyone is wearing masks because management is not requiring it. >> is he in violation of some county laws? if so, that is a problem. >> reporter: he told his facebook followers that they are well aware of the mask mandate but he said they will not enforce it. everyone has the right to freedom he says. if you would like to wear your mask inside, feel free and if you don't want to, that's okay. >> reporter: would you bowl here? >> absolutely. i believe it is his business.

area in pleasanton. the clothes in the shoes that philip kraycheck was wearing was found on the body and police say also personal items that might include a biometric watch. it is essentially wilderness when you go off trail in the regional parkland. the body of a man was found in pleasanton ridge leading to the belief that it might be ultramarathon or, philip kraycheck who vanish during an extreme heat wave. pleasanton police say the body was found under a tree in a heavily wooded area 200 yards away from where they searched. while they wait for confirmation

of the identity from the coroner's office, family and friends took to facebook to offer condolences and thanks to the volunteers. police say they believe kraycheck likely suffered an injury or heat -related stress and missed a turn on his carefully plotted route, continuing on the wrong way. east bay regional park's district says they get hundreds of calls every summer from people who get lost, deviating from an intended route onto an animal trail. >> it can look very inviting for someone that it might be an existing trail and it is not. you can get disoriented and where you think you should be making a right turn, you continue to go straight and end up in a completely unfamiliar area. the mac they said many calls for help come in and they suggest people not travel alone on remote trails and have a map on hand in unfamiliar territory.

>> reporter: kraycheck had a map and did tell his family his intended route. we are expecting preliminary autopsy results in the next day or two. a final report is not expected until next week. the coast guard is monitoring a potential fuel spill after rescuing a man and six dogs from a grounded boat. the man was treated for concerns of hypothermia. the coast guard observed a flushing but after flying over the area, they say the boat was in good condition. a crew will check out the boat and remove any petroleum products. let's take a live
