clubs, and gyms. indoor events with more than 1000 people will also have to verify vaccination status. another important date is october 13. that is when employees have to be vaccinated. amy hollyfield is at tfield is l center. amy: chase center has said it will be complying with plans to enforce this at the next concert, september 15 at chase center. if you're coming to that event, you will need to show proof of vaccination. the city of san francisco announced that proof of vaccination will be required. the county health department says it will help educate businesses, but enforcement will fall on the businesses. so gyms, restaurants, bars will have to ask people to show that they are vaccinated. some business owners told us they worry this will cost them customers. >> we don't want to deal with confrontation from anybody on their political views or

religious views or whatever views they may have, as far as the vaccine goes. i am here just to feed people. amy: the golden gate restaurant association says businesses will have to ask to see customers' vaccine cards and their id to make sure they are matching. officials are hoping this will motivate the rest of the city to go ahead and get vaccinated. this large venue here, chase center, will require vaccinations. another venue down the street will not. oracle parks as you can come to a giants game and not show proof of vaccination because it is an outdoor venue. you would just need to vaccination card to go into the parks, restaurant, or the garden club. >> there some -- there are some exemptions, and they include people who are picking up to go through orders and children under 12 are not yet eligible.

to trace. julian: as more students head back to school, the state superintendent is drawing attention to covid vaccines for teens and tween's. tony thurman is scheduled to speak this morning, expected to urge kids 12 and up and their parents to get the shot. he also wants schools and communities to get involved in the vaccination effort. kumasi: the state is recommending, not mandating, that students get tested for covid. right now everyone knows that testing for covid is an important way of tracking the spread of the virus, but not every health department is recommending that students be tested once a week, like l.a. unified will do. here is san francisco's plan. >> right now they are not suggesting surveillance testing, which means testing when people are not symptomatic, and instead of somebody has symptoms, we will refer them to where they can get a test him and we will ask them to quarantine if they have been exposed. kumasi: oakland unified

we have some hazy sunshine today, not spare the air day, but our beautiful blue skies are still absent, and that will continue through the weekend. highs today close to average. a burst of warmth. in between, how about the chance of sprinkles this afternoon through the overnight hours. here are the remnants of tropical storm kevin, making a beeline for us. you can see the increase in clouds. as we head into the afternoon and evening hours, sprinkles more than likely. radar could be active, but they will evaporate before they reach the ground. but overnight it is easier for them to reach the ground because that dry wedge will dissipate a little bit. as we head into the evening hours, once the sun sets, there is the better chance of sprinkles, especially closer to the coast. then that moves north and we will see increasing sunshine and heat tomorrow. a touch of that heat in the south day. 92 to 93. cooler in san jose, 83.
