helped to se growthf a fire but it is still very active. this video was shot along highway 50. you can see the fire raging alongside the road. containment is at 19%. the flames have not made it into the tahoe basin. the weather is expected to take a turn tomorrow. our reporter spent the day on the fire lines and joins us from el dorado county. what does it look like tonight? >> it is really looking horrible. the fire is picking up speed in the last few hours. we are in the town of myers just outside south lake tahoe. about four months from us -- about four miles from us, we were there 15 minutes ago. fires burning on both sides of highway 50 very close to homes. all of that is happening a mere four miles from our location. you can see the thick red layer of smoke hovering over the
