after more than eight hours of deliberations leading up to a unanimous vote an fda advisory panel formally recommended a third pfizer. for certain high-risk groups including adults 65 and older at least six months after receiving their second dose. i think it's reasonable. it's it's thoughtful it doesn't use up vaccines. globally. it's different infectious disease position, dr. jorge salinas investigates measures to prevent covid infections. he agrees with the panel's decision to reject recommending a third visor dose for people 16 and older citing the need for more data they felt the potential benefit from added protection of a third dose was probably not strong enough to overcome the potential for increased risk of myocarditis. myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle. they think that there is a theoretical risk. it's probably low, but they
