humidity will is so low. the humidity levels are kind of borderline and the 20% up to 30%. that is a little bit of a positive. a look at temperatures, most of us are in the 50's. in the hills 60's. at noon we are in the 70's and 80's, even along the coast and 70's and 80's and 90's at 10:00. this is not even the hottest day in the forecast, i will show you that coming up. cutting off power

counties impacting about 1200 companies. they expect the power to come back on tonight. >> hundreds are still without power, and now customers are without electricity and it might not go back on until later this morning. we have a reporter joining us live with more. >> good morning that outages are very scattered and there are still some outages out here and the lights are on at this college but we know there are outages in this area in san pablo and also in richmond and some out in oakland. pg&e says the weather is to blame. the outages are very scattered and a few businesses and restaurants are without electricity. they are worried about food spoiling and some of the outages caused some polls to catch fire. pg any said the drought was to

blame and that dust and dirt buildup on the power lines after going so long without rain. the rain we had this weekend turned that to mud and the power went out. >> it is been a long dry spell and in the first light rain comes long and it turns that dust and salt and everything that has been accumulating on the lines to mud, and that conducts electricity and causes an outage. at 1.28 thousand 900 customers lost power. pg any said they did not expect this many outages. they have restored power to most customers but still have some outages this morning and no estimate when the power will return. meanwhile the company has announced some public safety

shutdowns that will be coming today because of the threat of wildfires in parts of napa and solano county. >> large canyon national park are now closed as a fire has grown over to 21,000 acres. this wildfire has been burning for eight days, and flames have reached the edge of the giant forest in the secure you -- sequoia national park. it is still 0% contained. expected for kids ages 5-11. >> this is the first release of data for these kids and it has not yet been peer-reviewed. pfizer says the vaccine is safe while tolerated and showed robust responses in kids.

pfizer plans to cement data to the fda and other agencies as soon as possible so it can get emergency use authorization for this age group. the latest trial involved about 2200 kids and researchers gave each participant two doses of the vaccine three weeks apart and the doses for young kids are smaller than those for people age 12 and up and contains just 10 micrograms of vaccine instead of 30. test results in kids under age five are expected to be released later this year and anyone age 12 and up can get the pfizer vaccine. >> authorities in wyoming are working to identify the remains of the body that matches the description of gabby petito, and she disappeared and now her boyfriend has disappeared. >> in this morning's first look a tragic development in the search for gabby petito, her

some of the dust make it to you some of the pollen, all of that will be mixed in with the winds. we are around 57-59, and we will have some microclimates because of the dry air, 50 in american canyon but the winds are keeping up us a little bit, 50 in palo alto and 51 in santa clara. the rain over the weekend, look at the air quality to the north. it really helped with those fires. our air quality will be green today. as we head into tomorrow, it will change. today you can see some of it is trying to push up from the southern sierra where they have received no rain. you can see we wake up tomorrow with some smoke on either side of the valley and then the smoke increases as we head into tuesday.

so we are not the only ones dealing with that. it is pretty warm across the entire state. you can hardly see any clouds. tonight we will be clear again and the freezers -- breezes will taper. in some of the higher elevations, you can see where the highest fire danger is, in napa county, some 60's there. even hotter tomorrow with less breeze look at that, 76 at the coast, 86 around the bay, 98 inland. we drop wednesday, but it still does not feel like the fall. thursday and friday, warmer than average and saturday and sunday temperatures back to where they should be for this time of year. kumasi: the warriors are giving back, teaming up with a company for a really big nation.

:00 this evening. the red flag warning for the north bay mountains, solano county, east bay hills and valleys in the diablo range until 8:00 this evening and we are starting to see an uptick in the winds. we had gusts up to around 50 on the beale -- diablo earlier this morning, and the humidity levels are starting to drop so we are getting into that window that we need to be vigilant. kumasi: happening right now the power shut off is in effect because of those expected strong winds, so let's take a look at that outage map and you can see that the areas in orange will be impacted and host of those are in the north bay, a lot in napa county and solano county

affected. in napa county more than 1200 powers -- customers are without power because of the changing weather conditions. residents tell us this is a reminder of past fire seasons. >> hopefully not a repeat of that again that was a very stressful time. we are all on well water, so they all 1 -- run on electricity so there is basically nothing functional in the house without power. reggie: the fire danger iss the only weather event, hundreds have lost their power in the east bay after rain knocked it out saturday. amy hollyfield is live with us with the timeline. amy: there are still some outages this morning, and we are in san pablo the lights are on here, but some homes here do not

have power. this outage even caused some power poles to catch fire over the weekend. the company says this happened because of the drought and the rain that we had. they say dirt accumulated on the lines because we had such a long dry spell and the rain came along this week and entered all of that dirt into mud which conducts electricity and cause outages. at some restaurants lost power and money and they could not cook without power and they worried about the food spoiling. >> 50% of the menus we are serving -- we are not serving and we are not taking any dining in because we cannot give them proper food. amy: here is a map of the outages that happened. the company says they did not expect this many outages. they have restored power for most customers but they still

have some this morning, and the website is showing that the lights may come back on here and a san pablo around 8:00 this morning, but in oakland they still do not have an estimated time of when the power will be back on. kumasi: t t t the day the white house would roll out booster shots for everyone 16 and up, but that is not happening because a panel rejected that request. the fda will be meeting this week to consider a recommendation for booster shots for people 65 and up and those who are at high risk. it would need to have been months after their first vaccine shot, and the fda -- >> we want to make sure to follow the right science because timing is everything. kumasi: dr. couch he said despite the administration's plan to administer the esters more widely, he did not think

an investigation is underway into a plane crash in texas going down in a neighborhood in the middle of the day. >> a plane just crashed into all of those houses. people jumped out of the plane with parachutes. oh my gosh. kumasi: this was just outside fort worth. officials say the flight instructor and student were on what was supposed to be a routine training fight. they were able to eject. the plane landed in a backyard and at least three people on the ground had minor injuries. reggie: with no professional astronauts on board traveled above the earth farther than any private citizen has ever been. the dragon capsule was subjected to 3500 degrees of heat while reentering the atmosphere. the crew spoke with children at
