police have issued an arrest warrant for him. an indictment suggests he he fraud by using a debit card and pin number that did not belong to him. it was days after he was said to have died. kumasi: police in illinois say they have finally identified a body which was found earlier this month of july and day. he was reported missing on august 24. police said he thought his car, wallet, and other personal items at different spots in the towns of lasalle and peru. worried about safety on campus, but it still makes students uneasy. >> i feel like the whole school is intense and scared -- the whole school is tense and scared. kumasi: police will continue to

investigate this case. many communities of color say missing black and indigenous people deserve the same urgency that the gabby petito case has received. people in the east bay are on high alert after a series of coyote attacks. these animals are going after dogs. amy hollyfield live with what you need to know before you take your dog out for a walk. amy: these attacks have residents feeling nervous and now town officials are paying attention. good they have reached up to the department of fish and wildlife with help on how to handle this threat. we have a scary video to show you, one resident shared it. it shows her dog getting attacked outside her home by a coyote. residents say there have been a number of these attacks in the area and they are worried for their pets in the neighborhood.

they are concerned a human could be next. people we talked to said they don't want animals killed that they want the threat taken out. >> if they can at least be removed to a natural area, the woods, the forest, where they can do their thing and not be impacting our families. amy: her dog, bella, was snatched out of the backyard by a coyote and they never found her. police say the situation is getting worse. town officials want to track all of the incidents so they are asking anyone to report encounters with coyotes sufficient wildlife can get that picture of where this is happening. then they will make a decision on whether to trap and relocate or trap and euthanize. kumasi: checking up on california's major wildfires,

evacuate. 38-year-old alexandra walked out of the brush near where the fire started in a push firefighters saying she needed medical help. during an interview, officers came to suspect her of starting it. the fire has burned 5500 acres strike 25 structures and is only 5% contained. dry conditions and above average temperatures could fuel leak and complex -- could fuel the kmp complex fire. new evacuations were ordered yesterday for the mcnally's lodge area. mike: temperatures will cool off and there is a slight chance of rain. we will talk more about that. first i want to talk about the immediate effects. our air quality is moderate to good. there is the possibility of smoke making it around to remote areas.

you will run into this. sky seven is having some issues so reggie, i will send it to you. reggie: a potentially deadly problem is plaguing san jose. someone is launching metal ball buildings at buildings and car windows along the guadalupe freeway. there have been dozens of incidents between 280 and highway 101 running through the heart of downtown. you can see it very easily. this damage is caused by the metal ball bearings. these items are being fired at buildings, homes, and cars at potentially lethal speeds. >> these are about the size of a quarter going over 100 miles per hour. reggie: that have been nearly 30 incidents. the crime lab has been struck eight times. the san jose museum of art also saw damage. the person is using a slingshot

looking at 60's and 70's around the bay, 70's and 80's inland. look at temperatures at 4:00, close to average with 70's and 80's around the bay. a dramatic drop this weekend, cleaner air on the way, and a chance for rain in the seven day forecast. are we going to jobina now? oh my goodness. jobina: i know. this is the bay bridge at the crash site, a crash involving multiple cars and a bus carrying commuters. injuries were reported. we now have only one lane blocked, but you can see the damage has been done because they flipped on the metering lights earlier than normal which resulted in the domino effect. we are getting reports that there is a crash in the maze from this backup and a stalled out car in emeryville. you're going to be jammed here.

my advice is since they have not given us an estimate of time, take bart into san francisco. kumasi: millions more americans are eligible for booster shots after the cdc signed off. the director used her authority to add a key group to the list of people eligible. here is who is eligible, people 65 and older and in long-term care facilities. people 18 to 64 with underlying medical conditions, and people with jobs that put them at an increased risk. that is the group added by dr. walensky. she said, "we must take actions that we anticipate will do the greatest good." only defies her vaccine is approved for a booster. the cdc will review recommendations for moderna and j&j when the data is available. reggie: some neighbors in the

east bay are too scared to leave their pets outside. there has been a string of coyote attacks. here is a video of one. amy is life in danville with the serious concern they have. amy: you have to be on high alert in danville. residents are very nervous for their pets. we have some video to show you, scary video, of a attacking a dog outside a resident's home. there have been a number of attacks like this in the area and they say it feels like it is getting worse. they are worried for their pets and they are worried about what could happen next. >> i think it is important we focus on it right now and prevented from happening to a human. if it is a human, it will probably be a little kid or a baby.
