three types of covid tests later at the medieval test site in santa rosa. kendra knees got the results. she wasn't expecting each time came back with a different result the whole thing seemed off to me when her husband jacob medina received his test results. he noticed a pattern which also meant their vacation plans were over the couple screen shot at their test results from the medievalve website and shared them with us. it came back positive. and then i said, of negative and i'm like well, that's kind of weird confused your family quarantined for 10 days, but now they want answers and our questioning the accuracy of these tests. we retested a week later at a different site and came back negative. they were writing on napkins. i'm like that's not professional. first of all, it shouldn't be with a sharpie on a napkin and they're like putting a napkin with our all our all our information in it with a sticky note. touched to a vial they snap off and after they do the suave according to the center rosa

fierce wildfires have burned across california this summer but finding the safest evacuation route isn't easy in this town of mountains and trees. >> the question is how do we clear the canyons? the answer is to clear the roadways down below. cornell: evacuation drills are a big deal because there are only two ways out of town. the city is working with google to identify travel bottlenecks and the safest routes out. this is one of those evacuation outs and -- evacuation routes and on a normal day, there is traffic jams. >> the goal is to figure out how we can clear up those streets quickly. cornell: been anything but a drill in the north bay. massive wildfires chasing thousands from their homes. >> we have seen the fires in 2019 and it is a question of when is that coming to mill valley. we all need to do our part and part of that is knowing what to do in times of evacuation.

a palo alto woman was arrested, charged with starting the fire. people reported seeing her acting strangely before the fire started. investigators say when she was taken into custody, the woman had a lighter in her pocket. covid vaccination rates are down. 70 million eligible americans remain unvaccinated. abc news reporter hernandez has the latest numbers. >> 70% have 70% have 70% have one shot of the covid-19 next scene, but vaccination rates have declined by 37% over the past three weeks. >> the reason we are seeing lots of people in hospitals and deaths is because there are so many people who are not yet vaccinated. >> the push is on to encourage the 70 million eligible americans who still have not

make sure that we have clean air and a planet that is going to be here for our children and grandchildren is if we change the way we do everything in our world and that includes commuting. liz: lasher governor newsom signed an executive order requiring all passenger vehicles to be electric by 2035. san francisco schools have resumed music programs but because of covid some classes , are being held outdoors and while most neighbors welcome this music, a few have complained about noise. our senior education reporter, melendez, has a look at the heart of the issue. leah: a few neighbors of the parkside district of san francisco have gone online on next door to rave about the outdoor music they hear coming from hoover middle school. this, after the school received some complaints. >> how long has school been out? we want our kids to practice music, and it actually sounded nice. they are a little rough, but you know. >> i walked by one day recently

and i saw them outside and i , thought it was delightful. leah: some schools had to shift music classes outside in order to follow proper health protocols. >> i realize it might be a little bit of an annoyance but i would hope that the public would understand that this is a celebratory moment, to hear these noises coming from schools again. leah: but recently, the department of health issued new guidelines for music students. they are able to practice indoors but only with the proper ppe. this is what it looks like. wind instruments now have bell covers. students must wear the proper instrument masks and stay six feet apart. >> those schools that are able to make it happen, we have encouraged them to move the kids indoors as they are able to. >> if not? >> if not, we have encouraged them to continue programs outdoors. leah: this advice was given for those who complained.

liz: happening today, street closures will be in effect for the folsom street fair in san francisco. the crowd is inspected to be smaller than past years with about 30,000 people. the event usually draws more than a quarter million people. it is billed as the world's largest leather festival. folsom street between eighth and 13th will be closed until 10:00 tonight. other streets in the area will be closed and this event runs from 11:00 to 6:00. there was a reason to toast a -- toast in redwood city as an italian food and wine festival returned after after a hiatus to due to the pandemic. this year the event was a celebration of survival for the organizer. he, like other restaurant owners had to adapt as the doors of the , three bay area restaurants were forced to close to indoor dining.
