yet ready to possibly get ready to choose whether you -- get ready to possibly choose whether you get to wear your mask. the number of cases is on the decline and the bay area has some of the highest vaccination rates. we talked to one doctor who says that we have passed the metrics to lift indoor mask mandates. when we ask people if they are ready, we heard hesitancy. t riants. vaccinated but io still feel nervous. amy: the san francisco mayor said that dropping the mask mandate is long overdue, it is not up to elected officials, county health officers make the decision. health department say they are looking at softening the rules in certain places in specific situations. they are finalizing those details.

the timing and the exact rules could vary from county to county. in contra costa county, case rates are down 35%. officials say an announcement could be coming by the end of this week. reggie: thank you. there is some frustration for people trying to get a booster shot. at some pharmacies, they ran out. at least two cvs pharmacies canceled appointments because they did not have boosters. we reached out to cvs and the company said the high demand exceeded the initial allocation. >> it is always frustrating for somebody to have an appointment for a vaccine and then find out it is not available. >> they were people who are pushed by their family and they have a negative thing and they just go it is not meant to be and i will not have a vaccine and that is the sad part. reggie: both alameda and contra costa counties have their own allocation from the state.
