good evening. >> fleet week runs through sunday but that is not all. the warriors played tomorrow and the dodgers take on the giants. the giants play again on saturday and sunday there is also a parade. the italian hurried to trust a ball. j.r. stone has more on the crowd impact. reporter: as bad as this thursday afternoon traffic looks, it is likely not nearly as bad as it will look friday evening when the giants open the nl division series against the dodgers. >> i have heard there will be a lot of traffic. reporter: friday and saturday playoff baseball games is just a small portion of what is happening. the lakers take on the warriors and there is an italian heritage parade and the fleet week air show will take to the sky on friday, saturday, and sunday afternoon. >> we anticipate extra

congestion and traffic in san francisco. reporter: but as erica says, there will be extra streetcars along the famous fl line getting passengers and customers out of the area. >> we will be running trains friday and saturday. reporter: good news for baseball fans but, sunday, when the final fleet show takes place, the wait time will be extended to 30 minutes with track slowdowns due to maintenance. part says three extra event trains will be ready at a moments notice. parking is already looking expensive. the cheapest new york oracle park is four blocks away going for $120. likely due to can -- likely due to construction taking place in mission bay. >> i will walk and take

is changing its address. adding tesla will keep its engineers and innovation center in palo alto. >> a path to lifting the bay area mask mandate. health officials announced the guidelines today. the county must reach the yellow tier for moderate covid transmission and stay there for three weeks. covid hospitalizations must be low and stable. 80% of the population must be fully vaccinated or eight weeks must pass after fda authorization for a covid vaccine for children ages 5-11. no county meets those strict metrics and it could take months to get there. >> you cannot underestimate how happy the fitness industry is in san francisco. reporter: dave thought this would never happen but next

dan: oakland's police chief is urging people that speak up if they know anything about the shooting death of a 15-year-old girl. young is the city's 109th homicide of the year and it is only october. a number notches that for all of 20/20. she was shot and killed in a car in a road rage incident. oakland pd posted this image of her and an interview with her mother tonight on twitter. >> this is senseless and we need to get together and find out who did this and put them where they belong. we do not need people out on the street who are just killing for no reason. >> tonight, i hope everyone in this city wakes up and understands finally how much do we have to bring before the public? how many times do we have to cry out for help?

how many times do we have to say to you that we are in a moment of crisis? dan: friends and family held a vigil today for dirk tillotson.. police say he was killed and his wife injured inside their home last friday. ama: a surfer who survived a shark attack is speaking out about his ordeal. he survived a severe bite on the lake. he told good morning america that he was not sure he would make it. >> i was in a lot of pain. i thought i would lose my leg or i will die. everything was cold. it was like a clamp around my leg. we went underwater together slow motion and i reached down to grab what was -- ama: he has undergone two surgeries on his leg and hopes to get back to surfing in the near future. the full interview airs tomorrow

at 7:00 a.m. on good morning america. dan: talking about our coastline, a criminal investigation has been opened up into the oil spill. so far, the coast guard is looking at the rotterdam express. the ship was making unusual movements around the pipeline near the time of the rupture but the shipowner says that information is incorrect. there is also an investigation underway. ama: a new partnership is smashing barriers and empowering young women to pursue careers in athletic clothing. the bay area organization is bringing diversity to the tech workforce. we moderated the event and spoke to inspiring stem students. >> without smash, i would not have the initial confidence to pursue stem.

the moisture is not hitting the ground. the front is going through and there may be some sprinkles. there is another system that will drop down from the north. we are watching the symptoms -- we are watching these systems. tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m., showers developing around the east bay and south bay. and then, we go into saturday morning. a couple of showers skirt the coastline and may make it around the peninsula. that is 3:00 a.m. on sunday. while you are sleeping, the roads to be getting wet. the bigger story is the sierra nevada. they are ready saw showers today. tomorrow, it will switch over to snow. snow at around 9000 coming down to lake level. could impact travel plans. a colder system is coming in for next week setting the stage for more snow and once it passes,
