[laughter] did you enjoy it? >> yeah, it was really cool. mike: one of the benefits of living in or close to the city. i do not get to see them, but hope to this weekend. feels like we are back to normal. giants back in the playoffs, fleet week, and the weather will be pristine. >> yes! mike: now we will stumble just a little bit out of the blocks for the gorgeous weekend. here is our first stumble, in the form of light showers hang around on live doppler seven. let me put this into motion. you can see they are rotating east away from us. don't be surprised if there are a few drops in the east and south bay over the next couple hours. we will see increasing sunshine, little breezy out there, and a little cooler than yesterday, with upper 50's to mid-60's. notice clouds increasing again at 7:00. that is our next storm that brings the chance of wet weather tonight through tomorrow. i will show you that with future radar, coming up. >> knew this morning, a fight outside of paypal park in san jose. soccer fans getting into it after the earthquake's game last night. jobina is tracking it. jobina: police say there were multiple fight and at least one shooting reported.

a large group of officers were at the stadium and surrounding parking lots. unlawful assembly was declared. more than one person was taken to the hospital. none of the injuries are considered life-threatening. the match between the earthquakes and cruz azul was also chaotic. 8-ran on the field and t -- a fan ran on the field and threw a punch at a quakes >> you need to get ready for crowds. it will be a busy weekend in san francisco. fleet week is in full gear with the first air show. then there giants hosting game one against the dodgers. amy hollyfield is live at oracle park this morning. good morning. amy: good morning. it feels so good to be an orange october again. the giants have not been in the playoffs since 2016.

it has been a long time. five years we have been waiting for this. and it is even sweeter that they are playing their rivals, the l.a. dodgers. but it will be a busy weekend. the giants are part of a busy lineup. the warriors are also playing tonight. and fleet week is in full swing. it will make for a busy day in the city. the streets are expected to be very congested, especially around the chase center and the ballpark. city officials are pushing people to take public transportation. part says they are prepared for the influx of people -- bart says they're prepared for the influx of people. >> we will be running trains well into the midnight hour friday and saturday. for the most part, 15 minute headways. amy: there will also be extra streetcars to help get people from bart to the wharf who will likely want to watch those blue angels. driving will be a hassle and also expensive. the cheapest parking is four

kumasi: the san jose state university president is resigning. it comes after it department of justice investigation found the university mishandled sexual assault claims by female athletes. a settlement was reached with those students. >> i am surprised -- at least i am surprised it is happening on

this timeline. but i also think it is probably the right decision. i think this is a thing that really needed to happen, because otherwise, it would be hard to be an effective leader of an institution like this. kumasi: in a statement, she said in part the best interest of the campus continues to be at the forefront of every decision i make, and i truly love this university and believe this choice will allow the focus to be positively and solely on our diverse and outstanding campus. reggie: graduating students will soon have the opportunity -- choice to have their chosen name beyond their diploma. the new law gives students at california public colleges to have the names that reflect their gender identities printed on their diplomas. the assemblymen behind this is that students should be able to celebrate their achievements without fear. kumasi: we are learning about

health insurance fraud bust involving 18 former nba players. two of them played for the role warriors -- for the warriors. they are accused of getting medical procedures that never >> dollar insurance scam. >> each defendant sought reimbursement ranging from approximately $65,000 to as much as four to $20,000. andrew: prosecutors say at least 18 players, including former celtic terrence williams, pocketed up to $2.5 million after fabricating procedures an appointment by chiropractors, dentists, and other doctors. among those charged, greg smith. he allegedly claimed $4800 for a root canal at a beverly hills dentist office in 20, but he was actually playing basketball in

taiwan that y.meanwhile, glen d rhoton, and anthony allen allegedly claimed they had six root canals each on the same teeth on the same day in 2016. 16 of the suspects were arrested and charged for false claims totaling $3.9 million. sebastian telfair leaving court wearing an ankle monitor after pleading not guilty. the u.s. attorney says it was terrence williams who was the mastermind, receiving nearly a quarter million dollars in kickbacks from the other players involved. >> first, williams obtained fraudulent medical and dental invoices. second, he sent those invoices to co-conspirators, other former nba players. third, the co-conspirators submitted the fraudulent claims to the plan. andrew: other than sebastian telfair, no other men have entered a plea or commented. the nba calls the allegations disheartening. andrew dymburt, abc news, new york. reggie: there was a game a.c.l.

morning. temperatures fall back in the 40's to 50's. here is one system pulling away. it will bring the next hour or two a stray shower possible. let's map it out with future radar. we start at 6:00. still a few green, which is very light intensity, probably not even enough to use the windshield wipers. but look at all the sunshine that exact heading to 3:00, probably the brightest part of our day. increasing high clouds. it will be a colorful and gorgeous sunset. by 11:00, a few showers possible along the north bay coast. by 3:00, storms coming ashore, especially marin county and southwards. anywhere near the coast, the peninsula, the south bay, this and agrees mountains, you have the best day of possibly 1/10 an inch of rain. look how quickly a become sunny in the afternoon hours.

francisco mayor london breed, the city is going to be bumping. the big headline, in my opinion, is the san francisco giants. big game tonight. that is going to bring a lot of people to the city. they are going to play their rivals, the l.a. dodgers, in the first game of the an lds. it is their first time in the playoffs since 2016. they expect 40,000 people at the ballpark. and you will see basketball fans as the warriors have a preseason game. and of course the blue angels and fleet week will be in full swing. it is a lot to, and driving will be tough. living here and being able to walk places will be great. >> i will probably huber in if it is going to be that pick -- that packed. i expect it will be busier than normal with all the events going on. usually if it is a busy weekend, i know not to drive, especially downtown. getting to the bay bridge, it

will probably be a nightmare for most people coming in. amy: city officials are strongly encouraging people to take public transportation. bart says they are aware of all this. they are prepared. they will be running trains well into the midnight hour. muni has added extra trains to the f line to help get people from bart to their destination. hopefully our giants will have an easier time against the dodgers and drivers will have on the streets. 40,000 fans crowd. it is going to be a fun night. vice president of the united states is even pulling for the giants, so how can they possibly lose? it's going to be fun. be prepared for crowds. kumasi: we are excited, thank you. all the people coming into the city -- it is bound to get businesses is an economic boost. this is a key part of building a better bay area.

-- fda authorization for kids ages five to 11. kids may be able to get the shot starting in november. kumasi: a 15-year-old girl became oakland's 109th homicide of this year. oakland's police chief is urging you to speak up if you know anything about the shooting death. because it is only october, and the number of homicides matches all of 2020. young was shot and killed in a car during a road rage incident this morning. oakland pd posted this image of her, as well as an interview with her mom. >> this is senseless. we need to get together and find out who did this, and put them where they belong. we don't need people out in the street who are killing for no reason. >> tonight, i hope that everybody in the city wakes up and understands finally -- how much do we have to bring before the public? how many times do we have to cry

out for help? how many times we have to say we are in a moment of crisis? kumasi: family and friends held a vigil for an open education advocate who was killed, and his wife injured, a week ago. reggie: oakland police are also investigating a home invasion and sexual assault. police say the man entered through an unlocked window. this happened yesterday just before 4:00 in the morning. police say it appears to be a random act of violence. kumasi: for people who were fighting the kmp complex are now in the hospital with injuries after a tree fell and hit the screw yesterday. a helicopter took them to a hospital in fresno. this is video of the fire. it has been burning in the sequoia and king canyon national park since early september. it is only 11% contained. reggie: new details and the oil spill off the coast of orange county. the owner of the ship thought to

have started the spill says the rotterdam express has been cleared. it left yesterday for mexico. coast guard was looking at the ship after it was tracked making unusual movements around the pipeline near the time of the rupture. ship owner says the data is incorrect. there is now a criminal investigation to figure out what happened. there is also an investigation in san diego county to determine if this bill is the source of some tar the shore. kumasi: tesla moving headquarters out of california, elon musk claiming reasons in his announcement. reggie: you can now send your date something before you meet for the first time. new feature on tinder. but first, let's get a check on the weather. mike: on this friday we are starting off pretty quiet. we did have a few drops in our inland east bay neighborhoods and there is still a chance in the next hour or so. for the most part, it is pretty dry, with temperatures around 53
