liz: here was a live look of our tower cam over san francisco. it busy weekend here. we are looking at some fire danger this weekend. we will talk about that with lisa and just a moment. a frightening scene at new york laguardia airport yesterday. evacuated in response to reports of suspicious and errata behavior. -- erratic behavior. law enforcement met it on the runway and took the paste -- and took the passenger into custody.

no one was hurt. hundreds of flights were canceled leaving many stated passengers wondering what the actual reason is. air traffic control says the disruptive weather is the main cause of all of the flight cancellations. a bloomberg report suggests the airline pilots may be boycotting the company's vaccine mandate. southwest airlines pilots association asked a court to temporarily block the company from enforcing the vaccine mandate. the deadline for all employees to be vaccinated last monday. the white house says 7 million covid vaccine doses were administered this past week. that is the highest number of the vaccinations since the beginning of july. nearly 66% of americans who are eligible to get the shot are fully vaccinated. honoring its frontline workers

to review a section of the pipeline to determine when and how the leak happened. the pipe might've been struck several months ago. as many as 131,000 gallons of oil spilled into the ocean off the coast of huntington beach. they did find a 13 inch split in the pipeline several miles offshore. investigators are looking through a years worth of data and images to get a better picture of what went wrong. volcano continues to erupt and lava will create even more destruction. more than 1000 buildings have been destroyed and 6000 people have been displaced. the airport has resumed operations after being closed for several days. decriminalized jaywalking did not get the governor's approval.

fleet week that's attracting big crowds to san francisco. the city's italian heritage parade returns today. it will be san francisco's first parade back in person. mayor, london breeds state senator scott weiner and david chu plus many more are going to be there and it starts at 12:30 this afternoon at the foot of jefferson in powell streets in fisherman's wharf and it ends in north beach at washington square, this is the 153rd italian heritage parade and lisa the weather should be shaping up pretty nice for it. yeah, that's right. we have some fog that's creeping
