spook-tacular forecast for the weekend. we have fog once again in fairfield and less than one quarter mile and half moon bay. we expect the widespread and thickest fog to linger the longest and solano county and that is why they have a dense fog advisory until 11:00. reduction of speeds will help because it will be hard to see the cars in front of you. the fog has not spilled into the bay. starting off in the 50's. mainly 60's at noon and cooler at the coast and bay but still nice inland with low to mid-70's. let's take a deeper look at the forecast, especially this weekend, coming up. jobina: classes and activities are canceled at two high schools in sonoma county. both high schools will be closed after receiving threats yesterday. district officials were advised by police and made the decision to close the campuses out of an abundance of caution. julian: two pple have been

detained after a shooter scare at lax that sent passengers running for the emergency exits. nearly 300 evacuated from the airport and lined up outside last night. flights were also stop for a while, but they have since resumed this morning. around 7:30 last night, police responded to reports of a person with a gun in terminal one. when this is that they heard gunshots, but it turns out there was no shooting. police did not find a gun either. two people were detained. it is not clear why. medics treated two others who were hurt trying to evacuate the airport. a third taken to the hospital. jobina: president biden just wrapped up a meeting with pope francis in rome, where they discussed a variety of topics. he is in europe for a pair of global summits, while his domestic spending plan hangs in the balance. he arrived at the vatican this morning for a 90-minute reading with the pope. they discussed the pandemic, and poverty. it came one day after talks in

washington over the spending package. democrats are still clashing over the details. the $1.75 trillion framework includes money for free universal pre-k, extending the child tax credit, and money for child and elder care. paid family leave was left on the cutting room floor. >> put paid leave in, it is in, in, and at the last minute, somebody said it is out. i am going to fight everything a moment to try to get this back in. jobina: white house officials say they are confident both spending package and the separate bipartisan infrastructure bill will pass soon, but they have not said what the timeline looks like. julian: earlier this month, san jose water announced customers will have to cut their water use will pay a fine. last night, a virtual meeting was held to address concerns with the community. surcharges would be added to bills if you do not cut water use by 15% from 2019 levels. it would equal about seven dollars for every extra unit of

water used. eight unit is 748 gallons. san jose water took about 100 questions from the community. surcharges will take effect on november 15. jobina: san francisco's golden gate park. it was canceled last year because of the pandemic. tens of thousands are expected for the three-day event. ryan curry is in golden gate park, where the gates open in a few hours. do you have any updates on our ticket situation? for me and julian specifically. ryan: well, here is the problem. if i gave you guys the tickets, then i have to give everybody at the station vip tickets, and i'm not that well-connected. jobina: ryan. ryan: we have to turn up the asking price. let's talk about changes. in case you do have vip take

jobi: in the north bay, residents and sonoma county are dealing with major damage from the storm last weeke. rg redwood tree fell near duncan smells, damaging a home and suv. in kernville, a home on santa rosa avenue slid off its foundation yesterday. a large tree is the only thing keeping it from falling down the hillside. they told residents to evacuate. julian: new developments in california severe drought after that huge weekend storm. it turns out it only made in in the level of drought we are dealing with. check out the state's latest map. compared to last week, you can see improvements in far northern california, as well as parts of the north bay along the coast. a majority of the state is now in the second-worst category. the lighter red considered

the ku klux klan costume admitted to wearing it on a dare. the student wore the costume through four periods without being told to take it off. it is believed he only wore it during certain times and not during class. >> i was surprised how the principal or none of the security age instead not stop him. >> he should be expelled, no comment. just saying. it is what it is. it is disrespectful. to everybody. julian: the note to parents said the student has been "assigned consequences." he will participate in the schools restorative justice process to learn how his actions have impacted and harmed others. and another controversy at an east bay high school. the east bay times reports a photo surfaced on social media showing two high school students reenacting the death of george floyd. the murder of george floyd we should say. the letter the principal center parent says "last week i shared the disappointing news that

we will begin with mike and his spooky forecast, is it spooky? mike: it is alright, do you want spooky? jobina:jobina: i need spooky. mike: what is your definition? jobina: whatever you have got. mike: fog, does that scare you? normally it should because it means there is low visibility because of the fog and some of that slipping into solano county and visibility could be less than one quarter of a mile, so give yourself room between the car in front of you through 11:00. it is one quarter mile fairfield and half mile napa, one mile at and less than one quarter at half moon bay. we are getting ringed by fog. a few high clouds are rolling around, but you can see a lot of sunshine by noon, except along the coast where the low clouds, things to an onshore breeze, will develop. mid to upper 60's at lunchtime. a few 70's inland at 4:00, and all of us back in the low 60's and a few upper 50's by 7:00. julian: thank you, mike.

the stages are set. outside lands kicks off in golden gate park today, the first time the music festival is returning since the pandemic and the first time it has been on halloween weekend. abc 7 reporter ryan curry joins us at golden gate park with what to expect. you have to see what you can do with the tickets. they are going for for a single day pass. help us out. -- 1795 for a single day pass. help us out. ryan: maybe i will talk to my friend, the band manager of tema and paula. jobina: all right ta -- impala. ryan: let's talk about the changes. if you are going to golden gate park to see outside lands, the biggest thing to understand is proof of vaccination is required at the gate entry, as well as a negative covid test if you are not vaccinated. partygoers will be lining up in a few hours, so i'm sure they

are excited to see the anticipated return of this concert that we haven't seen in a couple of years. gates open at 11:00 a.m. first concert happens around noon today. organizers say they plummeted a lot of different safety measures. they say they will have vendors wearing masks at all times, and they will have had sanitizer stations around so people can stay as clean as possible. there were some concerns about the climate going into this, be at the weather we had last sunday, about what the park was going to be like and the conditions. part organizers said they were having crews are out the yesterday, taking sure things are up and running. >> we know the park has done an amazing job working with us to prepare the festival. we feel confident in the mitigation efforts we have taken to deal with the rain and whether that happened. ryan: it h it h it h it h it h years since we have seen outside lands returned to san francisco, so i'm sure a lot of people are excited. get this, they say the crowd

family will be unveiled in san francisco today. the private dedication ceremony will be at 24th and mission bart station. it will also honor carlos' younger brother jorge santana, who passed away suddenly last year. carlos santana is one of the featured speakers. jobina: ski season officially begins at palisades tahoe after three feet of snow fell during last week's big storm. opening in october for only the third time in the recently renamed resort's 72 year history. the last time they were able to open with comparable snow was in 2004. preparations kicked into high gear this week when the decision was made to open on this halloween weekend. the skiers and snowboarders are expected to wear costumes. palisades tahoe was renamed because the only was considered racist. their first chairlift is expected to take skiers up at 9:00 a.m. julian: a high-profile hollywood home invasion of one of the

julian: welcome back, today is the deadline for prince andrew to respond to the sexual assault lawsuit brought against him in new york. an alleged victim of the convicted sex predator jeffrey epstein claimed she was directed to have sex with the prince when she was 17. prince andrew's attorneys are expected to asked to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming a settlement agreement clears the prince from any liability. jobina: new details on the hollywood home invasion. real housewives of beverly hills star was robbed at gunpoint. police say three suspects broke into her and see no home wednesday night.
