and moon camera, bright conditions where numbers are recovering in the upper 40's for livermore, you're in the low 40's earlier and 51 in concord and 51. anywhere from 3-7 degrees cooler this morning and last hour we were about 11 degrees cooler, so certainly in that sunshine helping us out, upper 50's, low to mid 60's today and high clouds around. so a pretty nice sunday for you with a good deal of sunshine. it gets a little messier for your monday with a level 2 system arriving late in the day. liz? liz: thank you, lisa. developing news, one person has been arrested in connection to a shooting that left two people dead and two others hurt in oakley last night. police responded to a family disturbance 10:15 on malicote avenue and the two people injured had, quote, esi injuries but their conditions are not known at this time. the victims and suspect are known to each other and know

each other but are investigating exactly what led up to the shooting. and developing news in oakland, a tragic story, a toddler was shot and killed by what investigators believe was a stray bullet. the california highway patrol said it happened yesterday during a shootout on interstate 880 near seventh street not far from the oakland police department. the boy killed was just 23 months old. abc 7 news reporter louis pena spoke to the devastated family who said it happened during the drive home. the boy's mother was behind the wheel. >> a mother is mourning the loss of her 23-month-old son. around 2:10 p.m. saturday, a 911 caller reported a gunfight between two drivers on interstate 880 in the city of oakland. >> reporting shooting on the freeway. >> one of the bullets entered this white lexus and inside a family with three children including a 23-month-old boy in

his car seat and his family identified him as jasper, a boy smart and full of life and his mother's only child. this is audio recording of c.h.p. officers arriving on >> aal bleeding from the head. >> according to his family, jasper was sleeping in his car seat when he was struck in the head boy a bullet and his aunt sitting next to him said he was struggling to open his eyes. c.h.p. confirmed he was rushed to oakland children's hospital where he was pronounced dead. california highway patrol detectives revealing this family was in the crossfire, saying in part, evidence collected on the northbound side of the freeway may indicate the victims were not targeted and the child passenger was struck by a stray bullet. c.h.p. officers are requesting assistance from the public regarding this shooting at oakland children's hospital, jasper's family asking offcamera

stopped. the cheerleading program sent a statement to abc 7 news regarding the incident and said on behalf of our cheer and coaches we are deeply shocked by this year's game and our program has worked extremely hard to promote great partnership and promoting a safe place for all cheerleaders to thrive and great athletes. we don't condone force from any party for any reason. san rafael high school sent a statement and said the school is aware of this incident and are taking it very seriously. the school said an investigation is ongoing in collaboration with san rafael police. a federal appeals court temporarily blocked the biden administration covid vaccine rule from companies with more than a hundred workers. republican led states and some private businesses are challenging the rule and requires workers to be fully vaccinated by january 4 or provide a negative test at least weekly. a court in louisiana sited,

quote, grave statutory and constitutional issue with this rule. the government has been ordered to respond to the court by monday evening. abc 7 is committed to building a better bay area and part of that includes tracking the pandemic and your health. this weekend thousands of young kids are rolling up their sleeves for a covid vaccine and clinics are held for children te t size shot. abc 7 news reporter cornell has that story from the north bay. >> inn 9-year-old just got his first covid shot and said it didn't hurt a bit. >> felt a light poke and was kind of nice to know i'm almost safe from covid. >> dad terry said the family is closer to being influentially vaccinated. >> it's not the end but finally feeling we have something to fight with.

>> organizers saying this county run clinic at san rafael is giving about a thousands shots to kids ages 5-11 this weekend like sierra. >> i wasn't nervous or scared and everyone was telling me it hurt less than a flu shot and i didn't feel anything. >> we've been waiting for this forever and i'm a nurse as well and been dealing on the frontlines and finally feel like they're going to be safe. carto. marin county has a goal to vaccinate all 5-11-year-olds by the first of the year and 15,000 kids. >> that's going to be a game changer for us. the virus will have a harder and harder time finding susceptible people. >> the vaccine clinic was happening at canal alliance, a nonprofit outreach for low income and immigrant families.

as for these two, they were in line for shots with their moms. >> you want to be here today? >> yes, because i don't want to spread sickness around the world. >> 300 shots were given saturday. >> it means protection and safety and keeping our loved ones and friends safe. >> most vaccine clinic appointments booked up fast. county officials say new shipments of the kid size doses of the pfizer vaccine will arrive next week. >> if parents are eager to get their children vaccinated and can't find appointments now they should continue to look because there will be more appointments opening up. >> all done. >> in marin county, abc 7 news. liz: san mateo play land clinic opened this weekend, the kid friendly vaccination site held at the event center in san mateo was designated for children ages 5-11. 300 doses of pfizer's child version of the vaccine were distributed. this happened yesterday and the site featured tv's, games, snacks and stickers to allow children to feel a little more comfortable when getting

vaccinated. >> they gave us a lollipop and gave us snacks and gave us juice. we got to watch a movie. >> should other kids do this? >> yep. why? >> it's safe and fun at the end at least. liz: they're so cute. every appointment was all booked up yesterday and since the county has a limbed number of doses they're advising parents not to come by unless they've set up an appointment first. the next clinic is scheduled for wednesday. in san francisco, a vaccination clinic for children was held in the excelsior neighborhood much like the others we saw this weekend there was a large turnout as parentsto get their . kids have a special guest at this site to keep them entertained while waiting. loose he'll, the mascot, explained the importance of getting the shot. >> if we get sick it won't be fun because then everybody in our house if we have siblings, they're not going to be able to

go to school and they'll be able to help -- they won't be able to be in school for that and we might expose our parents to it even if they're vaccinated, they still can get sick. liz: a very good explanation. one thing that's different in san francisco, keep in mind the city is planning to require 5-11-year-olds to present proof of vaccination to get into indoor businesses. kaiser permanente is warning patients to fill their prescriptions due to an impending strike and pharmacists plan to would you being out a week and they expect it to affect all their outpatient pharmacies in northern california. contract negotiations are ongoing and health officials hope to reach a deal before the strike date. kaiser said the hospitals and emergency rooms will remain open. if you're planning to take the train to the 49ers game today, you may experience longer wait times when heading home. nearly half of the light rail

liz: happening today, day of the dead celebration at the history museum in redwood city. on the courthouse square in front of the museum will be music and food and a processional and activities start at 4:00 with a welcome speech happening at 6:30. the festival of the altars inside the museum will be on display from 10:00 to 6:00. we have rain in the forecast, lisa, so that's also something

we're tracking and today we'll be dry. lisa: looking at sunshine. we need it. we were out there this morning and it was cold. temperatures ranging from the upper 30's to the 50's and here we are with this system lurking offshore. it's behind me and can you see it. it looks promising and we're looking at the forecast models trying to determine how much rain we're going to get. it's over a two-day event and we'll get a boost if we see some sunshine on tuesday allowing for some heavier downpours in addition to what we're expecting monday night. here's a look at live doppler 7 and while the bay area is clear and the golden state, we're looking at all of this which will aim at what we call the atmospheric river in northern california. we're excited about that and it won't be nearly as much as we saw in october. we had a level 4, this looks to be a level 2. san jose, it's nice out there with 55 degrees and 54 in san francisco and at the beach, 50

degrees, santa cruz, a new day and looks beautiful, 49, santa rosa and north bay communities in the 40's this morning and it was colder in our inland east bay as well, now at 51 in concord we're recovering and what a beauty here, the sierra nevada. fortunately this system will be warm for snow accumulations at lake level. upper elevations 7,000, 8,000 feet could see 4-8 inches of snow but gusty winds will accompany the conditions. rainy and windy as we get through monday evening and overnight. there's the level 2 system. the wind will keep things interesting overnight and then as it passes through quickly into tuesday you add in sunshine and you could see a thunderstorm and heavy downpours as you git-going on your tuesday morning commute. your sunny day on sunday with a few areas of high clouds and early monday morning looking at clouds increasing.

it's 5:00 and the afternoon commute getting progressively wet with the intensity of the rain increasing in the aerial coverage as well. there's tuesday morning where things quiet down and as we look at our rainfall totals, some of these are kind of scant from the south bay to the peninsula and most of the rain an inch or more should be in the north bay. could see a quarter of an inch in the south bay, hopefully a half inch in our east bay valleys. wind 20-40 miles per hour and highs today in the 6 0's and we could look for a wind advisory in the next 12 hours for our level 2 system on monday. liz? lisa: a company is producing meat in a way you haven't seen before. michael curry toured the new lab in emeryville and is the place of food production. >> gauges, meters, flashing lights, all futuristic at this lab in emeryville and all
