get aggressive at times with downpours. there is definitely ponding on the roadways. you have some showers toward solano county where we have a flood advisory until 6:30 adds excessive runoff is causing poor drainage areas, low-lying areas, and roads to be covered by water. just isolated showers possible for the rest of the day with the best chance over the ocean and mountain with snow and hail around 2500 feet. you can see some rain on the golden gate bridge. this is our best chance to get wet and it will taper through the day. reggie: heavy downpours and strong winds had caltrans working around-the-clock kumasi: crews worked to unclog storm drains and workers standing in one to two feet in water. they settled roadways are the most problematic. >> car wrecks, mostly, floods,

weather including live doppler 7 and find it on the abc bay area app on roku, amazon fire, apple tv. kumasi: state health officials are putting safety measures in place to put coat -- to keep covid under control. one of the biggest things is a statewide mask mandate returning tomorrow in effect for at least a month. for indoor events with more than 1000 people, anyone unvaccinated will still need to show proof of a negative test. you have to get a test 24 hours in advance or a pcr tests 48 hours in advance. the state is recommending all travelers from out-of-state get tested within five days of arriving. >> wearing a mask is going to be one of the most important things to get through this period of uncertainty. just under two weeks before christmas, before new year's, and other dates of holidays, now

standoff in antioch ending with a suspect setting his home on fire before being shot and killed by police. the man was walking down the street, shooting at homes and cars friday afternoon. police say not only was he wearing camouflage also body armor. he eventually barricaded himself in his home and continued to shoot. shortly after the fire started police say that man tried to escape through the backyard. he encountered a swat team when he was shot. his name has not been released and no one else was hard. kumasi: we are waiting to find out more about a suspicious death outside of the tesla factory. the -- you can see several emergency vehicles. the fire department responded to the report of a person down in the parking lot. when medics got there the person was reported dead. 15 people are under arrest san jose police busted a catalytic converter theft ring.

officers recovered more than 1000 catalytic converters along with the tools to steal them. illegal weapons, and cash. 12 of the 15 arrested or accused of the thefts. the other three worked at recycle businesses and knowingly person -- purchased the stolen converters. reggie: the largest residential project in mt. view's history will be up to discussion. they will weigh in on the urban village proposal. according to "the mercury news" some councilmembers are worried about the thirty-year construction timeline. google wants to build 7000 homes, 3.1 million square feet of office space, shops, restaurants, and a school. if you have solar panels on your home your electric bill might soon be going up. the california public utilities commission is imposing significant changes that get homeowners to install solar panels including reducing the

public settings indoors at least through january 15. updated guidance for mega events means you need to get a negative covid test if you are unvaccinated within 24 or 48 hours depending on the tot -- depending on the kind of test you are test -- you are taking. travelers aretravelers aretraver tested within five days of arriving in california. amy: good morning. part of the announcement does include a recommendation for travelers. it is that you take a covid test within three to five days of arriving in california. the announcement also includes some requirements, and here they are. masks will be required in all indoor public spaces. most bay area counties have an indoor mask mandate in place with the exception of marin county. this new change will cover 50% of the counties that do not. anyone who does not show proof
