>> abc 7, life breaking news. costa county. sheriff's deputies have just arrested a man after long slow speed chase. sky 7 was overhead as that man lead officers from martin to pleasant hill. police used spike strips to try to stop this truck, he continued to drive on the rims. he was forcefully carried to a patrol car and taken into custody. we still have information on why sheriff's office started following him, it was definitely an odd event. we will bring you more details as we get them. good evening i am kristin. we are learning new details about more than 170 hate crime attacks on robberies and how san jose police worked with agencies across the bay area.

>> shocking details now coming to light about the six men arrested a crime spree targeting asian women in san jose and across the bay area. any victims preyed upon in parking lots. >> this is a major problem across the region. county law enforcement has been unprecedented in the weight they have worked together. >> i spoke to marissa, supervising d.a. of santa clara county, who said primary suspect, anthony robinson, who faces up to 99 years behind bars targeted asian american women daily. prosecutors say they were stunned by what he admitted. >> when mr. robinson was arrested, we were shocked to find he admitted he was deliberately targeting asian victims on a mistaken and prejudiced belief that they did not believe in bank accounts. >> the more than year-long effort was spearheaded by san jose police. we clarified why three the men were released from custody.

ama: kristen: san pablo police say a man was holding a pellet gun when officers shot and killed him yesterday. it happened in this richmond neighborhood, officers say they got a report of the men carrying what appeared to be a firearm. it said it looked like he was preparing to fire it. he turned toward the officers, they opened fire. tech to say the man told the witness he intended to force officers to kill him. today, the man accused of killing his tesla coworker
