dan: to reopen his doors the first week of january and plans to pay his employees during the closure. dan: that is a nice gesture. in the east bay, the presiding judge has ordered a freeze on all jury trials in contra costa county except those that have already started. our media partners says seven courts that have come down with covid-19. jury selection is suspended until january 24. meantime, contra costa county is mandated booster shots for first responders and others at risk. the order will take effect generate 10. workers who don't get the booster shot will have to test every week for covid. the mandate covers law enforcement, fire department and emergency medical personnel as well as workers in homeless shelters. we have a page on our website dedicated exclusively to updates on covid to keep you informed, including mandates and testing

authorities say passenger patricia is seen on video slapping an 80-year-old man, spitting on him and raising her fist. eventually they were yelling at each other about not wearing masks. he can be heard saying he had taken his off while eating. her mask was clearly down, as well. the two yelling and swearing at each other for several minutes. crew members and forcing her to the back of the plane for the rest of the flight. after landing, she was detained by police then taken into fbi custody. male passenger was not charged. numbers of the crew and several other passengers say they were injured during the incident. there has been an unprecedented number of violent confrontations since the start of the year, fueled by the pandemic. american airlines, winning a passenger for life for allegedly attacking a flight attendant in october, breaking bones in her face. heading into christmas weekend, the faa bring more than 57
