sometimes those guys have that passion, they move up and they make a difference somewhere. we don't know if that was going to happen. >> he was his criminal justice professor who wrote him a recommendation to get into the cap me. >> i could tell he would've been a great police officer. i'm still in shock, sad. reporter: sadly these are some of the last images of him as deputies loaded his bodies -- body into the corner struck. those he served with said they will remember his passion to be great. >> he joked about his family wanting him. to become a doctor. we laughed about that. being a soldier, serving the country and the state, to be able to serve the community as a deputy in law enforcement was something he really wanted. reporter: robert is a dep
