chicago public closed for a fourth day today. the district and teachers union and haven't come to an agreement over remote learning and safety protocols. kumasi: pushback from guidelines for health-care workers. those who test positive for covid-19 without showing symptoms will not to slight and can go back to work. amy hollyfield is joining us live. we know one group is not too happy about this. amy: it is the nurses union, they are pushing back and concerned what they will do to hospital saying it will put hospital staff at risk and they could all get sick. this goes against what the cdc recommends, the new estate guidelines in california say asymptomatic health care workers can go back to work without isolating or testing. the cdc says even a symptom added patient should isolate for five days. doctors who favor this new plan

say it will help with the health care staffing shortage in that it likely won't put people in danger. >> we know that in 2020 before there were vaccine, the rate of transmission from providers to patient has been documented as minuscule. now in the age of vaccines, boosters and ee, we know if there is a positive test and some symptoms, given the shortages, they should be able to come to work. amy: the nurses union said it isn't positive for those who have tested positive to go to work knowing they could intentionally infect their patients. state said they are doing this after exhausting every other option. hospital should make every option to make those who tested positive only treat covid patients. reporting live in walnut creek, amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. kumasi: schools in west contra
