people on social media reported feeling nit oakland a new vaccine mandate requires employees of certain businesses to get boosters when eligible. the health order also lowers the vaccine requirement age to 5. businesss will be required to check the vaccination status for everyone 5 and older. the mandate covers restaurants and bars along with clubs, gyms, fitness and dance studios with any indoor space 500 or more people where they are gathered. the oakland unified school board will take an important and closely watched vote on tuesday to either close or consolidate up to 16 schools. the district says declining enrollment, 15,000 fewer students in the last two decades and a budget deficit lives them with no choice. parents, students and faculty have staged walkouts, hunger strikes and even rallies. they argue the closures would

world war ii. abc is learning that u.s. officials think russia has 70% of the force it would need in place to possibly launch a full scale attack on ukraine. those forces including special operation troops, tanks and arty rich satellite images shows the build-up in belarus too. russia moving hundreds of advanced fighters and attack helicopters to the areas around ukraine. as many as 30 russian war ships are now in the black sea including five amphibious assault ships. but u.s. and nato allies say that putin has not made a final decision. >> we are working hard to send a clear message to russia, that we are prepared to walk the diplomatic path. >> meanwhile, the first of 3,000 troops sent by president biden arriving in germany and poland. those troops deployed to reinforce nato allies not

the temperature change that's it's several degrees warmer in most bay area locations. beautiful view from the setting sun. it is currently 57 degrees. 64 across the bay and oakland. mountain view 67. 64 in santa clara. 64 at half moon bay. blue skies and the temperature readings 64. napa and concord, fairfield 65, 63. peta looma and livermore and the view looking down into the bay mainly with clear skies with just a hint of haze. some chilly spots in our inland areas, warmer than average for all this week. that's the pattern. we may see record highs on wednesday, thursday, possibly on friday. overnight forecast animations shows a few low clouds offshore. but we'll have clear skies over the inland areas and over the bay as well. and as we move along you can see it's going to be a sunny day

tomorrow as well. low temperatures dropping down to 36. napa 41. 43 san rafael. east bay down to 38. concord and livermore, down in the south bay look for lows in the 40's at san jose. h 41 at morgan hill. high temperatures mid to upper 60's at that time coast and in san francisco, upper 60's to near 70 generally around the bayshoreline. many inland locations will have upper 60's to low 70's. so it's going to be warmer than average day. as we look at that time week ahead on our satellite radar our future animation you can see the storm track remaining well to our north. nothing close to the bare area until around sunday afternoon of next sunday that is. and you'll see a little more robust system pushing into our north inland. but doesn't look like it's going to hit the bay area at all. here's the seven-day forecast. sunny skies all the way through.
