businesses there and anyone planning events. karina joins us to explain how. >> this was put in place about a month ago, impacting businesses and school events in sonoma county. they put the order in place to prevent any super-spreader events and hospitals from being overwhelmed. in january, cases soared in sonoma county because of the omicron variant. the health department reported more than half of the positive cases where the source of the transmission was known they were coming from those large gatherings but now the county is seeing a slowdown in case numbers and businesses are ready to welcome more guests. it is good news for places like wild oaks saddle club where they host weddings and large events like the ones you're seeing there. the general manager tells me the last two years were incredibly challenging so they are looking forward to booking more events in the near future. >> this year i feel like people

the independent advisory committee will meet tuesday to discuss emergency use authorization for that age group. the cdc has to sign up for vaccinations to begin. today, a san francisco judge ruled that the city decision to temporarily close three main roads during the pandemic was legal. they shut down the great highway to private vehicles in april of 2020 to provide the public a wide open safe space to recreate. they filed suit in december, claiming the closure violated local and state law. the judge bowled that officials acted within the authority, adding there was a high level of interest to use the streets for recreation. >> still to come, the i team is with us tonight because the appeals process is beginning for bay area young men serving light sentences. they have been in an italian prison for more than two years for killing a police officer in rome. tonight, there will take a look at their chances of getting out. >> later we will be joined by michael finney, small claims

appealing their life sentences. one stabbed the officer and the other struggled with a second officer early that morning in 2019. that fst offended that struggled with an officer and vandeweghe was this 21 you will. the prosecutor asked the court to produce his license to 24 years but confirmed he is pursuing a life sentence for this man who stabbed a second officer to death july of 2019. his mother is in rome for the appeal. >> my son is painfully aware that the actions that he had that night caused the death of a man and he suffers from tremendous guilt. he is also painfully aware of the injustice that his version of the events were never listened to or believed. >> he said he did not know this
