officially means we are in the endemic phase. of this i would say this means that we are gearing up to be able to call this endemic. i'm not gonna put the label on it just yet because that does entail a lot to call this endemic meaning that outbreaks are going to be controlled that we're not going to see an overwhelmed hospital capacity. but larry i think a really important undertone here is endemic does not mean virus free. it does not mean we're not gonna have any debts. we're not gonna have any illness. it just means it's gonna be a little bit more controlled as a frame of reference influenzas endemic. we still lose 20 to 60. americans during a given influenza your malaria is it is endemic which killed over 600,000 people in the year 2020. so it's important just to be rational about that. yeah, so it basically just we're going to live with it and go on with our lives as best. we can one possible twist or complication here the latest data out of japan suggesting that the omicron be a two variant is even more contagious and maybe more severe so i mean

4:34 pm
i personally would if my daughter she's only 10 months old, but if she was in daycare at school i and i've been appropriate age where she could wear a mask safely not mess with it. i would recommend she's wearing a mask. it's important that we still make sure that adults around our kids are are masked and this is a special concern for parents who with children who are five or younger who are not gonna be eligible for a few months or any parents of kids who are high risk, and i think this is gonna be important talking point at the end of february early march when the state starts to really revisit those guidelines for schools, don't you think it'll be challenging if the parents are taking the masks off and on the kids keep the masks on you could see the dilemma that's going to come with that. oh, there's a lot of dilemmas. we're even seeing the situation where masks might be required on a school bus because the public transportation, but then it's not required inside the classroom, which just some people is really not going to make much sense, but i think it again comes down to that individual risk and parents realizing that just because a mask mandate is lifted. it doesn't mean it's not recommended in certain situations and this is going to be of talking point and a lot of school districts out there as
