>> building a better bay area, moving forward, finding solutions, this is abc 7 news. liz: more refugees to think ukraine in the last 10 days. officials saying this is the fastest-growing refugee crisis in europe since world war ii. this comes as another round of talks between russia and ukraine is set for tomorrow. good morning, it is sunday, march 6. think you for joining us at 9:00. we have the latest on the war in ukraine in just a minute, let's start with a quick look at the weekend forecast. lisa: hopefully you slept through those chilly morning lows that were below freezing in the some inland valleys, already recovering in the 40's. high-pressure sits offshore, a view of the golden gate bridge

were temperatures are in the upper 40's for most of us, half moon bay at 50. there is a look at the shark tank where numbers were well into the 30's and the inland valleys a few hours ago, not 45 in santa rosa, 48 in concord with fairfield, 54 degrees. we are warmer this morning to to upper level winds, that makes to the atmosphere, brought down some warmer air. as we get to the afternoon, you notice a change. by noon, upper 50's and lend, mid 50's bayside. still in the 50's at the shore late in the day, we've got 60's today, 70's and maybe some changes in the extended outlook. liz: back to developing updates on the war in ukraine. a third round of talks between russia and ukraine is set for tomorrow. those talks come as ukrainian authorities are saying russia has already broken to humanitarian cease-fires. they were an opportunity to try to get civilians out of the country.

the hope any evidence found will bring alexis home. this weekend marks the 57th anniversary of one of the darkest days of the civil rights movement. events commemorating the 1965 crossing of the edmund pettis ridge will take place in person for the first time since the start of the pandemic. the bridge in alabama was the site of the so-called bloody sunday conflict. police attacked demonstrators with horses, billy clubs and tear gas as they were attempting to march to the state capital. marion jones daniel will be a guest at today's event, she is a survivor of a different historic racially driven attack in alabama. the 16th street church bombing in birmingham that happened two years earlier. >> why bomb a church? that haunted me for a long time. calling out, -- crawling out, i've got scars on both legs that are reminders. liz: vice-president kamala

top of mount tam, that is a lot warmer than yesterday. that is all due to a north wind, 49 in the city, 48 in oakland. san jose, santa clara, 50 in half moon bay. turning out in the 30's and many inland valleys, you can see how sunny it is from the east bay. hazy in spots, temperatures all in the 40's. we are in the low 30's for napa and petaluma, 45 in santa rosa. 54 by the delta, they have come up a good 15 degrees. 48 in concord with livermore at 46. now compared to yesterday, we are warmer by the delta and still kind of cool by san carlos. things are changing, we have had the clear night. hopefully you slept through that frosty start. waking up to these upper elevation winds which you are probably not noticing at all, because what difference it makes is the surface, the warmer start if you are looking at 9:00 temperatures.
