rightrightrightrightrigh developments just with of the past few hours into the war in ukraine, we have learned that russia has asked china for military assistance. a united nations human rights office says at least 596 civilians have in killed in ukraine since the start of the war. a spate of russian missile attacks today hit critical infrastructure as well as heavily populated areas. alex presha has details on on on pressure's latest assaults. >> a russian airstrike killed at least 35 people and ill -- injured more than 130 at a facility just 10 miles from the border with poland. russian warplanes fired more than 30 missiles. at least eight struck the facility. >> this is the third now military facility or airfield the russians have struck in western ukraine in the last couple of days, so am a clearly,

dry day outside after a little drizzle overnight. let's get to weather anchor spencer christian who says -- what? you used the word drenching earlier. spencer: in some parts of the area. it will be a drizzle in some areas and a lot more in others. it ranks only one in terms of intensity, but tomorrow night, we expect light to moderate rainfall. under part one inch in most areas -- that's the light rain -- heavier in other areas. by midnight tomorrow night, we will see that rain spreading from the north bay to other parts of the area and not tapering off until tuesday morning. later in the day tuesday, we got some partial clearing. rainfall totals just a few hundredths of an inch, but in the south bay, up to a third of an inch in santa rosa and coastal mountain ranges will get even more. i will give you a closer look a little bit later. dion: sounds good. thanks.

to the east bay where fire ripped through a church in antioch on buchanan road where the fire also damaged a dentist's office. crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to two nearby buildings. no word yet on what caused that fire. service is back to normal on caltrain. caltrain crews this weekend clear tracks in san bruno after a train hit equipment there. they say one track can now be used at 15 miles an hour while work is done on another track. crews and the ntsb were on site this weekend collecting evidence from an accident this weekend. cases are down, but covid is still a threat. former president barack obama is one of two politicians to announce a positive test today. tennis star naomi osaka heckled during a match this weekend in california. over

weather. temperatures about two to five degrees higher than they were yesterday. quite a significant 24-hour temperature change. looking at a mix of clouds in the sky, various levels of the atmosphere. mountain view, san jose, 60 in santa clara, 55 at half moon bay. skies are becoming increasingly cloudy, but the high clouds at the moment still bright. 58 degrees at livermore, and view in the western sky is quite colorful right now as we approach a later sunset than we had last night. forecast features are these -- clouds will increase tonight. north bay rain developed late tomorrow. rain will continue overnight tomorrow night into tuesday and then we will see sunny or warmer days wednesday through friday. tonight, we will see lots of high clouds and some low clouds developing as well, especially up in the north bay where clouds will arrive first as will rain

tomorrow night. we will see some bursts of sunshine here and there, but clouds will continue to increase generally. overnight lows in the mid to upper 30's in any of our inland valley locations. highs tomorrow up to about 60 on the coast, right around the bay shoreline, mainly upper 60's, 60 eight san mateo, 67 oakland down to the southbay, low 70's, 70, 70 one degrees, and inland east bay tomorrow, highs in the upper 60's in the north bay. let's talk about the approaching rain. the storm will produce light to moderate rainfall. most locations will receive under .1 inch, but in the north bay mountains especially, we will see a quarter of an inch or more and perhaps a lot more. starting 6:00 tomorrow evening, notice rain arrives rather quickly it spreads south and eastward into the early morning hours tuesday and by mid morning or

midday tuesday, we will see the rainfall winding down and get a little partial clearing behind the rain and rainfall totals generally under .1 inch. a few hundredths in fact, but up in the north bay, much, much wetter. after a little bout of rain on monday and breezy and rain on tuesday, we get sunny skies with milder weather on wednesday and thursday. in fact, much milder friday with highs reaching low 70's finland, up to about 70 around the bay shoreline, but temperatures will drop sharply. next weekend, clouds will move in and our next round of rain will arrive then. chris: for the first time since 2019, selection sunday injured real watch parties at schools across the country for the first time since 1998 -- selection sunday featured real watch parties at schools across the country. for the first time since
