last year, we were talking about were to get your vaccine. which drugstore had them and had appointment available. now, we are talking about the fourth shot. the first day of getting the fourth shot is in the books in the bay area, here in contra costa county, health officials say demand is high. the majority of shots given out yesterday where the booster, the fourth booster that is not available. the fda has approved it for americans over the age of 50 or for those who are immunocompromised. we checked in with doctors about how necessary it is, they say it is not a bad idea. what they want to emphasize is the importance of getting the first booster if you have not gotten around to getting it yet. >> if i had to say one thing, which will give the biggest benefit for all of those people who have not gotten the third shot, please get it. amy: right now, we are talking

an antioch resident has been waiting on help from the state for three months. the mother of six runs a daycare with her husband in their home. they lost business during the pandemic and fell behind in rent. they owe two months, about $5,000, and could end up homeless. >> if it wasn't for the kids, it would not be as hard. the kids knowing they do not know where they may sleep tomorrow kind of thing, that is what hurts the most. we are good tenants, we take care of things. we work as hard as we can. the system is not for us. gloria: she was part of a group of renters urging city and state officials to urge a rent control ordinance or extend protections past today. landlords with the east bay rental housel -- housing association do not see the bill as a solution. assembly members representing part of the east and north bay
