26-year-old deandre martin was arrested for being involved in the shooting and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. leslie: sacramento police say they recovered over 100 shell casings of the shooting and confirmed three buildings were struck i gunfire, three vehicles hit by gunfire. >> of those shell casings we know that we have two different calibers of in munition that were used. leslie: a stolen handgun recovered. police executed three residential search warrant and found an additional weapon. six people died, their names released today. two were 21-year-old women. there is a 57-year-old woman, as well as three young men. harris mother is consumed by

grief. >> people can go to a club and have fun without worrying about coming out and not being alive the next day? my son has a wife, he has children, all that. leslie: a victim services center was opened up at cal expo fairgrounds in sacramento. >> for those that have deceased family members, we do connect them with burial services. leslie: emotional support services are available to anyone traumatized by the shooting. 12 people remain hospitalized from gunshot wounds. police say they are looking into whether a shooter could also be a victim. at seventh and k buy gold and one center at 7:30 tonight there is a vigil planned. police say they are very grateful to the public for their help. they say that they have had more than 100 videos and photos uploaded to a community evidence portal.

there when the stabbing incident occurred. >> harrison students say they got text from their kids about the fight. many showed up long before everyone was set home to make sure their children were ok. >> just checked in. >> the san jose police department said the call reporting the stabbing came in at 10:12 this morning. school resource officer was the first to respond to the fight turn stabbing. the incident broke out among students. officers of the san jose police department responded. >> there were several students from the high school involved in the incident and we do have a person that is being detained. >> the san jose unified school district said our campus officer quickly stop the violence and apprehended the suspect thanks to the quick response of our campus officer in the police department, the school was not under shelter-in-place or lockdown in the incidentasthst e

incind that classes will contas scheduled. the stabbing at gunderson high school comes just days after an unrelated shooting near another san jose high school on thursday. police say one student was shot by another and suffered and nonlife threatening wound. parents i spoke with today said it's incidents like that shooting in today stabbing that keep them worried for their kids and others. >> is really crazy and sad and kids need to know that there are consequences right now that will affect them forever. i'm just glad that the student that got stabbed isn't in critical condition. >> it could've been a much worse situation here at the high school. a lot of parents and students were still shaken up. the investigation into what happened continues by the san jose police department and school district. live in san jose, zach fuentes, abc7news.

kristen: san francisco police are looking for the person responsible for killing two men near a playground. the medical examiner identified the victims as 20-year-old of san francisco and 22-year-old brandon of san mateo county. those men and two others are found with gunshot wounds after 4:30 sunday afternoon near the playground and the playground. >> a legal dispute may have contributed to a bomb scare. the alameda county superior court house this morning. the sheriff's department says a very small homemade device, we are talking the size of a golf ball, was brought into the building by a person involved in a civil case. investigators say that person says it was planted on his car by somebody else involved in the same civil dispute. investigators remove this from the courthouse and they quickly returned and there were no further threats. >> the big warm up coming this week.

a timeline here. >> we start with a look at satellite radar showing clouds that were around today beginning to push out of the bay area. those clouds will be replaced by huge ridge of high pressure that will bring us a big warm up. overnight hours we see the clouds with clear skies that start the day tomorrow with sunny conditions and we have a little bit of a warm up tomorrow, but the main event in major warm up occurs midweek. we see high temperatures soaring sharply. not only inland, but at the coast. let me give you an idea of how hot it will be. we take a look at the high temperature range. notice upper 70's tomorrow. then wednesday -- upper 70's tomorrow, i'm looking at the long day. wednesdays we see upper 80's inland. thursday, low to mid 90's in most locations we will see almost 90 degrees on the bay shoreline on thursday. up to almost 80 degrees on the coast. temperatures on takeoff very much on friday but cooler

conditions over the weekend. cooler condition at how hot it will be in just a few minutes. kristen: the mayor -- larry: the mayor of antioch says the city needs to take immediate action. they mayor plans asked the city council to approve a plan that would play -- pay $40,000 bonuses to attract existing and first-time offices. they would be paid out over three years with $20,000 upfront. quakes we are after academy graduates for a down payment assistance way they can have up to $60,000 of down payment for a home located here in the city of antioch. >> the mayor's plan calls for the hiring of 10 additional offices above current staffing levels of 115. part of the shortages due to an fbi investigation. including an undisclosed number of officers with crimes of moral

fervor too. those officers are under administrative leave. kristen: google is calling for employees to return to the office. the company is ending its voluntary work from home time. google says advances in prevention and treatment of covid, as well as improve safety measures allow for transitioning to a hybrid workweek. the company expects most workers to come into the office three days a week and have two days of remote work. caltrans is back to its regular schedule after reducing services to 80 trains today temporarily. it wasn't too busy this morning, even though fares are half off this month. caltrans said it's around 20% of pre-pandemic levels, but heading back up. quakes we see more and more people going back to work in covid restrictions already making people out and about. kristen: the ferry system is making adjustments. they say better alignment trips with ridership demands and

>> i have been so excited. i have been so excited for the year that would've been our 50th anniversary of 2020, which we did not get to celebrate. am so glad and honored to preside over this amazing organization in this parade. the city has been waiting for it. there's nowhere any of us on the board can go in san francisco. i am happy to say it will happen. larry: let's talk about the relationship between abc 7 and pride going forward? >> abc 7 is now our community media partner. they have agreed to have a one and a half hour live telecast of the parade. and we will be doing events with abc 7 throughout the year because pride, we host events all through the year to touch our community and abc 7 will be a big partner with that. larry: so don't watch any other stations? >> no. larry: other pride events are returning the festival at civic center plaza. tell me about that.

>> we have a festival at civic center plaza. the festival is primarily saturday. sunday is the parade in the festival. and we have seven stages -- eight stages, community stages with local promoters and organizers who get together. we have our trans stage, our latin next stage. that's what we do on pride weekend. we have a partnership with the african-american cultural complex on june 10. it's a version of juneteenth celebration but it's part of a freedom day celebration for the african-american community. we have a lot of other events. during the time of covid we created smaller events that we took these communities do that were covid safe that we want to make sure we are incorporating those. continue to watch and pay attention and there will be more. >> we have the groundbreaking golf tournament in october.

the first pride pga tournament for the lgbtq community. it has been growing every year for the last three years, so were excited about that. larry: in the video we saw many, many people and there will be concerns about covid. how any people are you expecting at the parade and what precautions are in place? >> we will attack this in tandem. somewhere between 800,000 to a million. we don't anticipate that many people from outside the bay area will come. we believe it will be half of that, but we don't know. so money people message us on social media, our facebook page and emailing us. there may be the same amount of people, we want to be prepared and be covid safe. >> we are working with the mayor's office in the state as far as regulation. whatever the city as an state of california. we will get to the parade and celebration and follow the guidelines. i feel good about it and i feel good about where we are.

with breezy conditions overnight. clear and clear as the morning approaches. mild small and turning warmer mid weekend the heat will peak on thursday with inland temperatures in the 90's. as far as the overnight hours, look for passing high clouds, may be low clouds. it will get clearer as sunrise approaches. eating us to a sunny day tomorrow. overnight low temperatures in the mid 40's and our inland valleys, right around the bayshore in mid to upper 40's and 40's on the coast. tomorrow's highs range from 68 and half moon bay to 66 in san francisco. 70 to 71 and other locations around the bayshore line. inland areas, mid 70's, maybe a couple of upper 70's, 70 degrees in fairfield. the north bay will see low to mid 70's, the same range in the south bay. as we skip ahead to wednesday, that's when the intense warm-up begins. high temperatures approaching 90 degrees inland. bear in mind, the advertise only

70 in those locations. thursday we expect the heating to reach its peak. low to mid 90's inland. upper 80's, 90's around the bayshore line. the coastal cooling begins on friday and that will bring temperatures and other locations down as well. has the accuweather 7 day forecast. look at thursday, that's the key day, the hottest one in the three-day warm-up. high temperatures in the mid-90's and the hottest locations, possibly record highs around 90 around the bayshore line. upper 70's to near 80 on the coast. the heat eases on friday but there's -- that's near the coast in the bay. expect 90 degrees in the inland spots on friday, saturday and sunday. temperatures moderate and we get back in the what we used to call average, but i'm not sure what that is anymore. larry: it's impossible anymore. we go from 90 down to 60's? kristen: good thing it does not last too long.

>> building a better bay area, moving forward, finding solutions, this is abc7news. larry: president biden and other world leaders are calling for a war crime investigation into new alleged atrocities in ukraine. president zelenskyy is accusing russia of genocide following the discovery of the bodies of more than 400 civilians, many shot at close range with their hands bound behind. it's a gruesome scene. ukrainian officials say the alleged atrocities are just the tip of the iceberg. russia claims the videos being shown worldwide are fake. president biden says he's considering more sanctions in response. >> unprecedented action in

shanghai, china. the city is testing all 25 million of its residents for covid-19. is the first time a city anywhere has taken such an action. in the u.s., medicare enrollees can obtain all home tests at no cost. you can receive up to eight tests per month. he said in negotiators announced they struck a deal on legislation that would provide additional $10 billion in covid relief. half of the funds will go to development in the purchase of therapeutics. many across the bear -- bay area are returning to the office for the first time since the pandemic began. it's bringing nerves at an increase in cold and flu cases. our abc7news reporter asked a doctor for tips to consider when getting back to normal life. >> are the first time in a long time, things are starting to feel back to normal in the bay area. people are going back to work and mask mandates are dropping.

>> even though we are in one of the most diverse communities in the united states. >> she was an attorney at east bay mud for nearly 18 years. she filed an internal complaint alleging race discrimination in march of 2019 after the candidate was passed over for a job at east bay, even though according to the lawsuit, the panel, which included tears, unanimously ranked her as the number one candidate. >> i took my duties very seriously. >> i know she felt like she had ethical duty to do this, but not everyone makes that hard decision to do the right thing. >> one years late -- one year later they invited her to apply again, she was hired and began in july of 2019. >> i was very excited at the opportunity. >> she said in the year and a half she worked at east bay mud, she was treated in a grossly discriminatory fashion based upon jerez race. including being given her heavier workflow, denied equal opportunity to attend training and other employee benefits.

>> i was placed in the library, i didn't even have an office. i was in the library for a couple months. >> her supplies came from a rich been in junk drawer where white attorneys were allowed to order new supplies. >> was denied the basic ability to do my job. >> she filed a discrimination complaint against the former general counsel. five months later the lawsuit alleges she had a conflict because she was a member of the black and play network, a group within east bay mud. >> i felt compelled to say that i was an attorney first and black second. i feel like i had to do that to keep my job. and i'm sure this person who's in control of my performance evaluations that are not this adversarial, angry black woman. >> according to the lawsuit, in november of 2020, and hr investigation found they had

that they needed to do more to get the city's attention. if they don't see progress soon, they say they may spread their campaign to europe. >> i know it's not something that will happen overnight, it's not a fast fix, but we need to move in that direction. kristen: what liz has said is that they may consider putting up such a billboard in european airports as well to be even more visible. what do you think? spencer: he grabs your attention. i think both sides have an argument. the mothers have a right to be as concerned as they are. i don't know if a billboard like that is the answer, but then the city officials like the mayor are doing their jobs trying to promote the positive aspects of the city and attract people to come in. i guess is they are doing their jobs to attract tourism, they need to do the other part of their job, which is to make the city clear and safe. i don't know it the answer is to that. kristen: as mothers who have

look into this because you know me, a dog owner. a couple of good things, there are people that make sure the dogs interact well and they have to be spayed or neutered. the dog parks i have been to, it's just kind of on your honor. and when there is one that isn't, it could cause problems. but i will tell you, the food issue, i think that's a bad idea. there's a reason you're not supposed to bring people food into dog parks. first of all, it's nasty, dogs are jumping on everything and it's where they take care of their business. and how do you know the dogs will behave well around food and that's not going to cause issues? to me, that's a bad one. >> only the finest dog food. >> we have public parks, their dog parks. this is really more about meeting the right type of dog. who are the right dogs?
