widespread 80's on 90's. it will be very warm in the city. 87 at oakland. 92 at san jose. 91 at concord. a look at the records coming up in about nine minutes. kumasi: it has some residents and scientist concerned about this kind of heat arriving much sooner than usual. ryan curry is live in downtown walnut creek with more. ryan: good morning. you can feel it warm up slightly as this morning has gone on. we have not seen the sunrise yet. that will tell you that today is going to be a hot one so get ready for it. this is bringing concern for a lot of climate experts in the bay area and residents in general over what will be coming from this really hot weather. some able to enjoy the comfortable feeling yesterday brought. today those warm temperatures are going to be very hot.

this brings concerned about the lack of rain we had and the overall concern about the fire risk and ongoing drought. it's unusual to see days this hot in april. when it comes to fire danger, experts worry about the drying out vegetation which increases the fire risk. >> i think the biggest impact in the next few days will be exacerbating the fire danger. the fuel are not terrible but they are drying out fairly rapidly. >> i hope bill o'brien but it is not looking like it anytime soon. ryan: unfortunately no rain on the horizon for that. with some hot temperatures reaching the 90's we need to treat today as if we are in the middle of july rather than the beginning of april. experts say we have to be prepared so put the sunscreen on, stay hydrated if you can, and really get ready for it.

from prison waving a gun at the camera, and appears to be his brother now behind bars, dancing while holding a gun. the video is believed to have been recorded on the night of the shooting due to a timestamp. sacramento pd has received nearly 200 videos and photographs and say that shooters were among two groups exchanging gunfire, going so far as to say -- >> the shooting is gang-related. j.r.: we spoke with former fbi agent rick smith who spoke about some of the challenges police are now facing. >> the problem is putting it all together. there are so many people involved in it. they need to charge everybody that fired a gun out there. not just the people who shot somebody. j.r.: the third suspect faced a judge for the first time on wednesday. investigators say he was seeing in possession of a gun in the aftermath of the shooting, but don't believe that firearm was used in the shooting.

face possible criminal charges. a napa doctor faces up to 25 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. she pleaded guilty to charges that she sold fake covid immunization and funny vaccination cards. abc 7 news was at her home as agents carried out boxes in july. prosecutors say she told patients the pellets would provide lifelong protection from covid. she provided fake vaccine cards to more than 200 people. kumasi: an east bay landlord is facing the possibility of having to take his renters to court after they have not made a payment in two years. they are renting a four bedroom home in pleasanton from a landlord named gary. he tells abc 7 news that tenets oh have more than $100,000 in back rent. gary claims the couple has a business but they refused to pay siding covid rent protection laws. that is leaving him unable to

abc news will have a special report when the vote happens and we will bring that to you live. reggie: two men are charged as posing as federal officers and duping secret service agents, including one assigned to the first lady. this is a scheme involving free luxury apartments and other expensive gifts. four agents have been placed on administered aleve. -- leave. mona: multiple members of the secret service have been suspenders -- suspended, accused of receiving gifts from men impersonating federal agents. >> the gifts are not cheap gifts. mona: more than a dozen fbi agents rushed into this apartment building in washington on wednesday, arresting them for allegedly pretending to work for the homeland security department. according to court documents, they provided gifts to secret service agents, including rent-free apartments totaling $40,000.

reggie: helping build a better bay area. a new survey uncovers a fear factor that could take a toll. it seems crime is keeping some people away from the bay area's largest cities, and businesses in the cities. gloria rodriguez is in the newsroom for us. gloria: there has been a big increase in concerns about crime and safety this year. homelessness and high housing costs are the top worries. a recent poll --

a police officer alleging their son was illegally detained because he is black. the family says that her 13-year-old was leaving stern private school last week when an officer stopped him from getting into his tutor's car. the attorney provided this video. he claims the boy was stopped, grabbed, held and detained. the officer said he fit the description of a burglary suspect. his mother believes this is a case of racial profiling. >> never in a million years what i think that something like this would happen with him coming out of school. all i could do was just wait for him to get to me because i could not get to him fast enough. when he got to me, you can see the devastation, the fear. he was just so horrified by what happened. reggie: the san francisco police officers association released this statement.
