a red flag warning. this is for the weekend for solano county. i'll be back to show you hour by hour why the fire danger is going to be increasing and how long the danger will last ama. all right. thank you so much sandia. we have new details now on the hit and run that killed two women in san jose take a look at photos of the vehicle police are looking for a newer model red four-door pickup. now the quality of the photos isn't great but investigators. hope someone can identify the truck. this happened just before 6 last night at ocala avenue and oakton court on the city z side police. say the two women who were killed were related. we talked to family members today who said the younger victim recently immigrated to the us. our detectives are working hard right now to try to locate this vehicle locating. the vehicle is one thing but we also want to find out who was driving it. i mean this person is responsible for the death of two people innocent people that were in the crosswalk. 14 pedestrians have been killed in san jose this year police say

seven of those crashes were hit and runs tonight. we're learning more about the 33 year old man who was shot and killed wednesday night in oakland as we reported yesterday police say it happened during a robbery on lakeshore avenue near lake merritt today abc 7 news reporter dion limbs spoke to those who knew the man killed. i found out yesterday morning at about seven o'clock. i lost it. sorry. it's okay. i lost it. i i felt at the floor. it'll still take time before any of what happened to melanie wakefield's cousin devin stanford at lake merritt. wednesday night will make any sense. still doesn't feel real. it doesn't feel like it's it actually happened. devin was a father and had a love of music fashion and the great outdoors. he and his partner of six years meredith lear were taking a walk when he was shot and killed in a

of people a lot of people don't make it out. she said the attacks by her boyfriend of two years escalated from verbal to physical abuse mary opened up about the morning. she almost lost her life. he choked me and he threatened me and that morning. i was i was a really afraid that i wouldn't make it out after weeks of planning. she escaped. do you feel lucky? yes, i do feel lucky and i feel blessed. yeah. at an undisclosed location the founder of the non. it courageous woman association showed us a transitional home. that's become a safe haven for women like mary. a woman pay a fee for the program which gives them housing professional help and a place to laugh heal and cook. sometimes we have cook-offs,

which is incredible amazing. so that's a beautiful thing between january of 2021 until now to china says they've gotten close to hundred calls of women in need they can only house 14 at a time. we provide up to two years of housing for women and it's a paid program and that's the problem many of the women lost their jobs during the pandemic and can't afford the program's fee anymore. so now the nonprofit is on the verge of losing this home at one point the founder sacrificed having a roof over her head. to make sure these women had a safe place. we are on our last leg. we have a month left in this house, which is unfortunate. she opened a gofundme hoping the community helps them raise close to 23,000 that would cover rent and bills until june. this is your refuge. yes in san francisco loose pena

we're told this was a head-on collision on highway 92 at the 280 interchange. one person has died. another has been taken to the hospital with critical injuries. and update now in san francisco's continuing city hall corruption scandal the latest report for the city's controller's office shows that san francisco environment director deborah raphael and some senior managers failed to comply with the city's ethics rules that included accepting gifts and meals from waste management company for ecology during garbage rate setting years. sf environment also failed to reveal a $25,000 recology donation to a 2015 earth day event. artificials say a 40 million dollar contract between the agency and a construction management firm may have been awarded. illegally bart's inspector general released details of the investigation today. it shows the bart manager who awarded the contract was also a former employee of the firm and has relatives who currently work
