university confirming that the responsible individual has been located by police, bringing a very long, scary day to a close. a threat prompted a huge lockdown on the uc berkeley campus that shut down classes. this was the moment about 145 p.m. when students, staff, and faculty at uc berkeley got the all clear, released from lockdown inside offices and classrooms. >> it was a very frightening moment. he didn't know what was going on because the message was very vague. >> sky 7 was over the mostly deserted campus after shelter-in-place order came down around 10:00 a.m., lasting almost four hours. cssroo'd uc berkeley said thed

received a credible campuswide threat. this video showed officers entering through a second floor balcony. police tweeted, there is not an active shooter on campus. police are actively looking for a person who may want to harm specific individuals. please continue to shelter-in-place at this time. buildings were closed and locked down. some students in the student union said they were moved around by police. >> we were first on the fifth floor just in a room, and then they brought us to the fourth floor because they had been sweeping the building. cornell: we are back here live on campus where things are getting back to normal. university officials say around 2:00 p.m., police made contact with the person off-campus they believe made the threat. they say that person poses no

threat at this time. officials are not saying who that person is or if they have been arrested or not. a motive remains unclear at this time. the bottom line, nobody was hurt. larry: in the south bay, police have identified the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed two women in san jose earlier this month. they are looking for this man, san jose police believe he is on the run now and are asking anyone who knows where he might be to call them immediately. police to track down his vehicle, a red pickup truck. let's get to the red pickup truck right here, they say both victims were in a marked crosswalk on april 7 when they were hit and unfortunately killed. kristen: turning now to the weather, you want to get ready for another round of showers. >> we got a little bit of a

respite today. mike is here with the forecast. my: a little bit of respite, that was nice to get out there not have to worry about getting rained on for a while. the first part of this was impressive, look at laugh yet and castro valley, danville, more than an inch. most of the rain today in the shower activity has been across the santa cruz mountains and spilling into the southern part of the santa clara valley, which you can see right there. the next wave is starting to move ashore across the north bay and started to spill into places like sebastopol and santa rosa. here is a look at the last few hours or so. you can see more showers hassible tndstorms withan, w litng d hail.

forecast models show anywhere between 8-12 inches at the crest. >> april showers normally bring may flowers, but this snow shower is actually going to read -- bring business to the ski resorts. palisades tahoe says the 58 inches of snow they got this month is more than the first three months of the year. >> just a couple of weeks ago, the discussion was really, how long can we make it? and now the discussion is kind of, oh my gosh, howt? it has really change the attitude up here. >> that more business for sports stores. even though the signs are up for the end of winter sale, the sports basement said they have seen a resurgence in sales due to the storm. >> when it snows, they are going up to the mountain. we've seen a lot of people come in and grab last-minute rentals, jackets, things like that.

but he did not, and that's apparently wendy punches started. a representative for tyson released a statement, saying unfortunately, mr. tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and through a water bottle at him while he was in his seat. kristen: richmond police have announced they've solved with 23-year-old murder case. mika whatley was strangled inside her home in 1999. she was 28 years old. lycée possible leads and dna tests showed nothing until a dna test led them to an acquaintance of hers who died of a suspected overdose 11 days after the murder. >> some people might think this is closure for us, but it still leaves us with, why her? she wouldn't even hurt a fly. so young, so sweet, she was innocent. kristen: police officially

refused to name the killer, saying they would not want to give him attention or fame. the family disagreed and urged them to make henderson's name public. larry: now to the latest covid-19 to veltman's. the world health organization said today the number of reported new cases worldwide decreased by nearly a quarter last week. the number of newly reported deaths dropped 21%. kristen: and doctors are considering waiting to authorize both the pfizer and moderna vaccines for kids under five to avoid confusion. larry: all bay area transit agencies are now following the federal court ruling and dropping their face covering requirements. the agencies are still recommending masks. keep that in mind. today is the first official day that muni is mask optional. rebecca salzman said she introduced amassed mandate next

larry: elon musk says he hit -- he has secured the funding to take over twitter. he has allegedly lined up the funding, twitter's board has yet to officially respond, but last week they approved a poison pill making it more expensive for anyone to increase their stake in the company. speaking of elon musk, spacex making news with nasa and axiom. the crew will now return to earth on saturday. they are scheduled to undock at 5:35 p.m.. inspected to splash down late sunday afternoon. the crew has been delayed to several days because of bad weather at the splashdown site. kristen: two daredevil pilots will be capturing the world's attention is sunday.

are all at exceptional levels of this drought. that means potential for an above average fire season has already started for those areas and will continue. first we have some good news, we did lose a little bit of our extreme, right up there in the north. let's erase that read and zoom down and show you some of the cities that don't have to worry about being in the extreme. pretty much all of sonoma county and lake and mendocino counties. what could happen with the storm that is bringing us rain right now, it could also enhance the fire conditions by the time he gets to arizona, new mexico, and colorado. kristen: the sale of recreational marijuana is now legal in new jersey. several people lined up outside it dispensary about 10 miles outside of philadelphia. new jersey voters approved a measure to legalize pot back in

larry: time for the four at 4:00. were waiting to hear what might tyson said about an altercation with the passenger at sfo. he was caught on camera punching a man on a jetblue flight shortly before takeoff. witnesses said tyson asked the man to leave him alone, but the passenger continue to annoy iron mike. both men were taken off the flight. the investigation does continue. two thoughts here, don't make tyson angry. you won't like him when he is angry. kristen: i was working for x trip many years ago and i was assigned to do an interview with him. i was asked to ask him a very

my son's favorite is blue jasmine. my oldest son loves the dark chocolate ice cream. larry: dan, this is science fact that we are doing here now. some of your descriptions are really creative here. the blue jasmine says this flavor is approachable, yet unique, and is naturally lou. i'm not that approachable. kristen: becky, did you start this in your kitchen? becky: i did, in los altos down the street from state street market, i had an apartment there and that's where all the flavors were created in 2012. we started as an ice cream of the month club. now we've got five scoop shop locations and we are also in northern california whole foods

market. kristen: tell me how you come up with these flavors, which are totally unique and interesting. becky: thank you, i wrote my first ice cream menu when i was a teenager. i love thinking about flavors. my dad is a composer and i always felt like i wanted to do with flavor what he does with music. honestly, every experience i have, i relate it back to creating an ice cream flavor. even thinking about the design of a room, how can i turn this into a flavor? which i know sounds kind of nutty, but my perspective on the world is like, how can i invoke any motion with ice cream? >> i'm a bit of an ice cream
